Disappointing hotel stay.

Posted 16-Jul-2017
The beds were rather hard, the air conditioning was noisy and only marginally effective, and outside party noise lasted until 2 in the morning. A definite disappointment.

Beautiful view

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Great view, and a beautiful hotel. Right in the center of penticton, and can access litteraly everything via walking distance. Only knock is that it is a little expensive, but non the less, it comes with a wonderful lakeside view

Best facility and location in Penticton

Posted 9-Jul-2017
Pros: Location, amenities and restaurant are great.
Cons: Parking can be difficult during busy events along the beach.
Location: Naramata Bench wineries are close by as is the Kettle Valley Railway Trail. Located right on Okanagan Beach.
Prime location on the beach with very good restaurant attached. Private beach area for guests with food and beverage service. Parking during busy events can be a problem. Bringing that to the attention of the front desk will normally result in them making some accommodation for you.

Construction

Posted 2-Jul-2017
Good proximity to things. Hotel staff were good. However, the "beach view was more like a view of a parking lot, and there was some serious construction going on that woke me from sleep. No warnings about this on the site. We cancelled our stay for the second night.

Nice hotel close to beach

Posted 30-Jun-2017
Pros: View on the lake. Eating breakfast on the lake was beautiful
Cons: The air conditioning
Location: Downtown stores, the beach, restaurants
Room size was spacious if a bit sparse (no couch). Deck overlooking lake was nice. Onsite restaurants, lounge and patio was nice to have. We like walking. Other restaurants both on and off the beach as well as the main beach are within easy walking distance from the hotel. Unfortunately the beach was mainly under water (however that's Mother Nature not fault of hotel). The air conditioning unit wasn't the best: cut out several times (needed staff to reboot once in middle of night). Room gets too stuffy before air conditioning cuts in. Easy check in; rooms weren't ready however allowed us to check in and store luggage for one of our party.

Construction/maintenance issues

Posted 7-Jun-2017
Pros: Location, the pub and restaurant. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Attitude of staff and should have been a reduced rate for putting up with scaffold outside your view window.
Location: The beach and the lake, along with downtown Penticton night clubs are all very close.
My lake view room was initially compromised by scaffolding on the outside of the building interfering with the view. Then after the first night they sealed off the view entirely with opaque plastic obliterating any view. I asked for a new room and reluctantly was accommodated. Not impressed.

We do apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your visit. I am glad we were able to find a room to move you to. As per BC safety codes the painters on the scaffold have to prevent fumes and or dust from entering your room. We are very excited that our reno's are almost complete. Kind Regards

We arrived and found out our booking was mixed up through Expedia. The hotel had a great location on the lake. We paid extra to have a room over looking the lake. Everything was fine until the music and screaming from guess in the outside bar kept us awake. We were on the fourth floor and the banging of music and screaming lasted until 1 am. I was very disappointed in this and let the front desk know the next morning.
