Views of Perkin's Cove, the Atlantic Ocean, and Perkin's Cove historical drawbridge is right outside your window. The owner was also responsive to our request for a lobster pot and crackers that were on the amenity list, but not found within the property. Our minor annoyances pertained to the thin floors/ceilings that amplified noises from the garage opener in the basement over the MBR and young children in the upper unit, as well as the limited necessities/basics available in the unit (i.e., no salt or tissues and not enough toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags for the week). There is no general grocery store in Perkins Cove, but we eventually found such a store in downtown Ogunquit. It just would have been nice to know ahead of time that enough basic goods would not be provided for the week since that has not been our experience with other weekly rentals. You do not need a car and good restaurants & shopping close by as well as a trolley right away. Directly on the ocean with the sun coming up (this time of year) straight out the sliding doors. Host was easy to communicate with and helpful. I've stayed in Ogunquit a number of times, but this is the first time I've stayed in Perkins Cove. Beautiful, compact with shops, restaurants, the Marginal Way right there.
