But is also around all necessary services. The area is ideal for walking and cycling. The beaches are found in a protected landscape and are supervised. The landscapes are breathtaking! It makes a nice contrast with the overdeveloped coastal region some 24 km away. You can literary drive around your house and a walk along the outer loop of this property is about 3.5 km long. I spotted a fox during one morning hike and there is a small lake with ducks. The owner is a real host and not only takes care for the property but also for you.The house is basic with a well supplied wood stove for heating, a gas stove for cooking and an electric boiler for hot water. There are only the local TV channels but the internet is OK. For reading books inside you can use some better light as the windows are small. Asked for a rating I find that many people rate pretty high. For me a 10 is reserved for when there's nothing to improve which is seldom. As for hospitality Antonio earns a 10 however.We spend 9 days in December and had a good time. ##### Jeroen D. On top of that, (yes - literally) every miradouro was amazing and left us speechless! We couldn’t get enough, that’s for sure! The house was clean and cozy and got everything we needed - besides one or two sun loungers would be nice to take a nap in the shade around the house. António, as you know, you are so kind and very helpful at any time and it was a pleasure to take care of the fruit trees in return! Tudo estava impecável — desde a limpeza ao cuidado com cada detalhe. Para quem procura um sítio tranquilo, ideal para relaxar e reconectar com a natureza, este alojamento é perfeito. Os trilhos pela herdade, as ovelhas, o prazer de puder ir buscar uns ovos pela manhã e fazer ao pequeno almoço e o lago foram uma verdadeira aventura para as mais novas cá de casa, com 1 e 3 anos que adoraram cada momento.O Sr. António foi incansável — sempre prestável, disponível a qualquer hora, mas ao mesmo tempo respeitando totalmente a nossa privacidade. Nota-se o carinho com que cuida do espaço, feito por ele próprio, o que torna tudo ainda mais especial. Só pelo prazer de o conhecer já teria valido a pena a estadia. Sendo ainda num local tão bonito e bem cuidado, foi mesmo a combinação perfeita.Recomendo de coração. Antonio came up to greet us after we had settled in to drop off some coffee pods ,he had left a wonderful bottle of wine and fresh pastries for us.He is a great communicator, always guick to get back to us, and had supplied multiple suggestions for places to eat,places to see and where to shop. We used his place as a base to travel the area. Lots to see from old castles, Roman ruins, to a mine tour and of course the beautiful coastal areas. A walk around the hectares of his beautiful property was a nice way to spend the morning. Allein gelegenes Haus ohne Nachbarn, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Schöne Terrasse rund ums Haus (man kann der Sonne folgen) mit Hängematte. Ein kleiner Teich in der Nähe, etwas weiter eine Aussichtsplattform im Korkeichenwald. Neben dem Haus ein grosser Feigenbaum, an dem wir uns bedienen durften. Antonio ist ein aufmerksamer und liebevoller Gastgeber, der sehr um das wohl seine Gäste bemüht ist. Viele Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants, zur Begrüßung und zum Abschied Wein und süsses Gebäck und zwischendurch frische Eier aus dem nahen Hühnerstall. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und werden wohl auch wiederkommen! ##### Martin G.
