I wish we had known about the Downtown Cottage sooner! The bed (KING) is comfortable for 2 tall people (6.4 and 5.10), the kitchen is well appointed for coffee and tea lovers, wine and whiskey drinkers, and foodies (they have a Brie baker!!! we made use of it), and its close to everything. The cottage has comfortable beds and everything you need. A GREAT coffee set up that will fill your needs regardless of your preference for KCups or fresh ground beans. The back yard with porch is our favorite hang-out place. There is a TV, but we didn't turn it on. We enjoyed time with friends. Its a VERY short walk to everything from the Cottage. The Cottage is 2 blocks from all the offerings in Ocean Springs. Ashley is a responsive and helpful host. We have already booked our next trip for Cruzin the Coast next fall. ##### Angel B. I hadn't been back to Ocean Springs since spending half a summer there in 2006, and was very happy about getting to see the community again. The location of this residence was what I had hoped for, as it provided a great way to see the community, and was within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. I went for a beach run almost every morning of my trip, and we took my 5-year old daughter to almost every park in the town. My daughter had great fun playing in the backyard, and begged to stay in and eat "at home" multiple nights, likely due to the nice "homey" comfort of the house. One night, when she really wanted a "sweet treat," it was no big deal for my husband to walk two blocks to buy a popsicle from Pop Brothers. We would definitely stay in this place again. House has two king-sized beds so two couples can comfortably stay. The photos on the listing are accurate, and the house has a nice front and back seating area (the one in back is larger and more private). The décor is that of a beach cottage and was comfortable with a relaxing “vibe.” We worried noise might be an issue since it is so close to downtown, but it wasn’t. The only music/crowd noises that were heard were from the nearby church hosting a dinner. And that was brief (hour, maybe) and not bothersome. We didn’t even hear it until we turned the TV off. There are ample restaurants and shops within walking distance. We hiked the Gulf Islands National Seashore Park which was very refreshing. The Walter Anderson Museum is around the corner and worth the time. We stayed the weekend and every day we tried a new place for food or coffee.
