This recently remodeled 1960's chalet is the perfect beach getaway! Seven minute walk to the beach on beautiful sunny days and enjoy watching the deer graze in the grass right outside your window! We won't be available on-site but we check our messages frequently and will be available to communicate during your stay if any issues arise or if you have questions. Tidal House is in the heart of Ocean Shores, surrounded by other lodging businesses, and is within walking distance to the beach, shopping (including a supermarket if you need to stock your fridge), bike rentals, and restaurants. Additionally, it is just a one-minute drive from the main beach access point. During your stay, if you listen closely you'll be able to hear the waves inside from the chalet. Enjoy the wildlife! There's a high deer population in Ocean Shores and you're likely to experience several sightings during your stay... sometimes even right outside your window! This unit is part of a 1960's chalet-style duplex. Guests have a private entrance and full private use of their chalet. Unit access is provided via digital key code, so you can directly access it upon your check-in time. Guests receive one parking space directly next to the entrance to their unit. Expecting visitors? Additional visitor parking is located on the south side of the property (near the Grey Gull). Please ensure that your visitors do not park in spaces designated for neighboring units. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT Please be aware that the main sleeping area is on the 2nd level. This chalet sleeps up to 4 individuals and is part of a vacation rental duplex in a chalet-style building. The chalet includes 1 queen bed in an open concept loft at the top of the stairs. Additionally, the couch on the first floor can be used to sleep on for one guest. Additionally, we have a blow up mattress that we can provide upon request. FIREPLACE NOTE The fireplace is not functioning, but we have electric candles (with a remote) that provide a nice ambiance. KITCHEN The Chalet includes a full-size range, dinnerware, pots and pans, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator and freezer. Guests are required to wash all dishes they use, as there is not a dishwasher. DUPLEX Please note that these are duplexes, so the walls are shared with one other guest. PUBLIC TRANSIT Grays Harbor Transit serves the Ocean Shores community. For information on routes and pick-up times visit the Grays Harbor Transit website. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT Our check-in time is at 3:00 PM, and our check-out is at 11:00 AM. We have strict cleaning protocols for our cleaning crew and cannot be flexible with early check-in or late check-outs. NO PARTIES We asks that guests do not have parties and keep noise levels to a minimum out of consideration for the neighbors. We strive to provide a peaceful getaway near the beach. Quiet hours after 10 pm. FIRES We currently do not allow bonfires on the property. SAND We also suggest removing shoes at the door after a visit to the beach to avoid excessive sand in the chalet. ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING Electric car charging on the property is not permissible as it could provide a safety hazard. The electrical systems are not set up for car charging. The closest EV car charging 3.9 miles away at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino. DAMAGE Any damage caused during your stay will be charged to you. Smoking of any kind (including vaping) is not allowed inside the chalets. Only one bed had pillows and comforter. The couch had sheets but no pillows nor blanket/comforter. It was very cold in unit and had to crank small heater. I texted the manager and they had a “late-night” delivery of a blanket and sheets, which sufficed. The pullout couch needs some adjustments that I couldn’t fix so was less than comfortable. Otherwise, the unit was clean and stocked with coffee, etc. it would have been great before visit to bring temp up to 68 or so so it was more welcoming. However being old chalet that has been converted to duplex was disappointing as all noise from neighbor was easily heard. Had to deal with neighbors leaving dogs that barked constantly, children running up and down stairs to upstairs bedroom was causing shaking of our rental. Took hours to warm up. And there are no throw blankets or anything to wrap yourself in to get warm. If you know guests are arriving, why NO HEAT?!? Also, NO FIREPLACE or candles as the ad shows in photos and states. "Path to beach" is a swamp and there are no sidewalks so you can't walk anywhere. Camera on front door watching your coming and going. The kitchen is small and there is no dishwasher, I share that in case you have a big intention to cook a lot, be prepared to hand wash (no problem for us). This is more built for 2 people, anymore would feel overwhelming. 1 parking spot right outside the door. The text updates were great with door codes for check in as well as the check out process. Emails as well. It worked perfect for our stay. We liked it. The loft was cute, the bed cozy. No AC, but fans provided on each level. They have wall heaters which were great and space heaters as well. We enjoyed our stay. ##### Anne C.
