The Space: 405 OC Suites is located at a fantastic downtown and beachfront spot on 4th St. and the Boards, walking distance to the best Ocean City has to offer! You will be staying in a piece of OC history, as this unit is part of a renovated building from the early 1900’s. This suite is one of many suites in a family-oriented, multi-unit building that emphasizes a quiet and relaxing vacation experience. If you’re looking for a convenient home-base to explore the beach and boardwalk, a comfortable night’s sleep, and a clean sleek space, this could be the right place for you! \*No Senior Week bookings\* \*This listing is most suited to family groups, and building association regulations require guests to be over the age of 25 when renting to groups of adults\* Space details: \-Unit located on the second floor; must climb 1 flight of stairs. \-Fully furnished, AC window units, Cable, Wifi included. \-Kitchenette: 1 induction burner, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all dishes/pots and pans/utensils provided. Best suited for preparing small meals and warming up leftovers. \-Small dining area seats 4\. \-Three bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a queen size bed (sleeps 2 each), bedroom 3 has two twin size beds (sleeps 1 each). Guest Access: All guests in the building share a small rinsing station at the main entrance to wash off sand after the beach, and a bike rack at the back of the building. The Neighborhood: Buzzing downtown Ocean City is right outside your door! You are right in the middle of it all in this apartment. Walk to Trimper's, Jolly Roger's, the pier, the inlet, and enjoy all of the fabulous stores and eateries that line the boardwalk. The "Tidelands Caribbean" pool bar is right behind the building, which allows non-guests use of the pool area with purchase of food/drink! Right below the apartment is a Dunkin' Donuts, convenient for coffee and breakfast. Some restaurants close-by include 4th St. Taphouse Bar and Grille, Hooter's, and Shenanigan's Bar and Grille. Best of all, there is an entrance to the beach right across from the apartment for easy access to days of fun in the sun. Getting Around: NO PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE BUILDING. Public parking is $3/hour, with lots and spaces on every street. Free parking is available in the city as well, with spaces available on the side streets, and availability closer to bayside. The Boardwalk Tram, Coastal Highway Beach Bus, and Park & Ride are public transportation options if you prefer not to drive around the city. Interaction with Guests: We will be able to get in touch with you at any point during your stay. We had Dunkin right under the room, it walked out to the beach, and it was right on the pier for anything else you wanted to do. I saw some reviews state that there was no view and while this was true, with three kidos 8, 9,10, it was much more important that we were able to park the car for the week and just enjoy being within walking distance to everything. Especially having to haul about chairs, beach toys, towels etc. Location was everything. I did wish it had more of a kitchen so that we didn't have to eat out every meal but still had a fridge area. Check in was easy and the guy that met us at check in was super nice and even helped us get our stuff in the room. I would stay here again! ##### Michelle S. Check in was easy. We arrived early and went to the beach and waited for the PM to text us when the room was ready. Upon arrival, the unit was clean. ACs were in every room & worked great! Some things that weren't so great: Room felt a little like a cardboard box. Window in one bedroom opened to the next build over, no view or real sunlight, Window in another room opened to the stairway where the lights remain on all night long. They did put up some taped together pictures which did not help and just made the place look cheap. I would recommend removing those and just adding black out shades. Plenty of light in the twin bedroom where the kids stayed. A small vacuum would have made a world of difference! There was a broom but with all hard flooring, we could not keep up with the sand.. The sponge in the kitchenette should be replaced every flip. Ours was clearly WELL used. Very tight kitchenette, not very useable and the apartment was so basement feeling that we did not choose to eat in at all during our stay. Overall the build updates were very DIY, but I wouldn't say that it really matters for the amount of time we were actually there. ##### Brittney O. We were very thankful the weather was beautiful all week so that we did not need to be inside the apt other than to sleep and shower. Biggest complaint is the bathroom and kitchen. When inside the apt, It does feel that you are living in a cave as the outside windows look onto the adjacent building (which is stated in the description). Seems to be very over-priced for the value. It is an extremely small apartment and the bathroom is almost non-usable. The water in the shower trickles out and the size of the shower is really small (similar to one on a cruise ship). We needed to step outside the shower to shave our legs as you cannot bend over without hitting your head on the wall. The renovation that was done was probably the lowest budget that I've seen. We have stayed in MANY VRBO properties and this was the most disappointing. We booked very late so we had very few alternatives. I know you can get a much larger, functional space for the money. ##### karen m.
