The Mediterranean is a gorgeous queen-bed studio fully converted from being the "Adega"where wine was made and stored at Quinta do Bom Vento. With exposed stone walls, wooden beams, a rustic iron bed and the original wine press now utilized as a main beam support, there is a romantic influence to the design. A live flame pellet burner keeps it snug in the winter months. With custom walk in shower in the separate bathroom and a fully fitted gourmet kitchen with utensils to delight any chef, you won't be compromising on mod cons either. Wifi, IPOD docking station and the main UK channels are available on your wall mounted flat screen TV. The open plan design at over 50sqm is spacious with a sunken lounge/dining/entrance area then stone steps leading you up to the wine-panelled breakfast bar. The queen sized bed is also situated to take advantage of the view with the wall to floor glass providing a panoramic view of the peaceful garden and over 4 acre wooded valley where you can pick rosemary, figs, plums and oranges. If you don't feel like conjuring up dinner in your kitchen or barbecuing on your private terrace, there are several restaurant options very nearby and even more in Obidos, just 7 km down the hill. Quinta do Bom Vento has 4 other rental conversions, but all have their own private entrances and outdoor terraces. There is a central courtyard should you want to socialise or rent with friends whilst still preserving your own private space. Location très agréable, située à proximité d'Óbidos, Foz d'Arelho, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha, Budha Eden Garden.... À notre arrivée dans le réfrigérateur bières, vins, yaourts, beurre, confiture maison, en plus de fruits, pommes de terre, et tomates du jardin...cafés , thés et plein d'autres petites surprises. Du pain frais et gâteaux accrochés le matin sur la porte...avec toujours un petit mot de nos hôtes. Vous trouverez tout dans la maison, cuisine très bien équipée et même plus... We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta do Bom Vento! Sam and Rich are expert in all things hospitality and their talents sparkled in welcoming us for our honeymoon. From the first contact via email to our final send off (Thanks for the delicious homemade ice cream!) and everything in between, our experience with them was fantastic. We stayed for 6 days in the Mediterranean suite and wished we could have stayed longer. The suite was spotless, neatly decorated, fully equipped for cooking (grill included!) private but not isolated and was perfect for a quiet country getaway.
