The space has good flow and lots of space for a group of about 18 (our size). The outdoor patio made for a great space for socializing and taking breaks. This was great for our easygoing crowd, but the wifi sometimes lagged, we had to bring in our own coffee pot because there were only french presses, and there wasn't AC on what happened to be a pretty warm week in Oakland. All of these were easy to accommodate and the owners were very responsive and solution-oriented as well. The deck outside allowed us to gather family including an immune compromised individual in a safe beautiful setting. Our host was excellent and can’t think of a single complaint if I tried! First impression was that this house appears to be a full time residence for a family with two young children and when they get a renter they vacate for the weekend. I believe that this should be disclosed in the description of the property. There was absolutely NO closet space for our 11adults and no dressers. They do not provide the bed arrangements in the description but there was 1 real king bed and 1 real queen. The other 2 queens were blow up mattresses and a 1 futon. The refrigerator had 3 open shelves and the rest was full of their food. NO screens on the windows and the A/C has been disconnected. When I asked the owner about it she said to leave the windows open. 7 of the 11 got mosquito bites. The plumbing fixtures were loose throughout the house and one of the three showers was unable to be used because the fixture kept falling off. I notified the owner and she said "all the plumbing fixtures are due to be fixed the following Tuesday." And "sorry for the inconvenience". The owner was easy to get ahold of and the house was clean. But overall we were all disappointed. I think for the amount charged for a night we should at least have real beds to sleep in, closets for our clothes, screens or A/C and a coffee maker!
