Mattresses were uncomfortable and almost everyone made comments about how uncomfortable the beds were. There were two refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 2 stoves, 2 ovens, etc. kitchen appliances were more than adequate. However, the frying pans were awful, as well as the types of pots. Many dead bugs on outside of windows. In fact, plants were growing in the rain spouts. Outside floor on deck and steps should be painted. Very small showers upstairs. May also be small downstairs, but no one complained. There were 7 bedrooms, so everyone had a room. I have trouble with steps, so I loved the bedroom and bath on the main or first floor. House was great for large groups. It was on the lake, but it was hard to see the lake because of the trees. I really felt that for the price, the house should have been cleaner and should have been in better condition. Red barn has nothing to do with the condition of the house, and they did an excellent job with check in and check out. Told me ahead of time codes and what to do before checking out. ##### Jane C. It was definitely large enough and close enough for what we needed. I know that everybody had a comfortable stay. Overall, there were little things that could have been improved upon (age of furniture, mattresses, appliances), but nothing detracted from the stay. We had one infant, one set of elderly parents, and everything in between, and everybody had plenty of space and things to do throughout our getaway. We would all stay here again. Our hosts were very engaged during the stay as they checked in to confirm the comfort of our stay.
