If you are headed to Yosemite ( 11 miles from the south gate) or Bass Lake (just 4 miles) or just want to escape from the crowded city, this home is the answer. The house is on one of the best Lewis Creek frontage properties where you can listen to the relaxing sound of the waterfalls in the backyard or take a dip in one of the 3 refreshing pools. This 3 bdrm 2 bath home offers a view from every room. Conveniently located off Hwy 41, only 4 miles from the town of Oakhurst. The well-established neighborhood is quiet and the cabin is in a cul-de-sac. The neighborhood has a private park just 1/2 block with a waterfall and swimming hole great for children, either 2 or 4-legged, where they can safely experience nature. There are restaurants nearby or you can take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. There are TV's in every room, and a dog door that goes out to a large and secure fenced area for your pets to roam yet be safe. The house above is also a vacation rental. The two houses are completely separate from one another sharing nothing except the entrance to the driveway. We asked the owner to please not use plug ins or laundry soap and fabric softener that had scents, like Tide and Downey. She was so accommodating that she even bought hand soap that was scent free. My husband and son are very sensitive to these smells and they were so happy that you went the extra mile for us. The kitchen had lots of nice dishes and pots and pans. We made breakfast and dinner each day we stayed. We were even able to watch the baseball playoffs while cooking. We sat in the hot tub and that was great after our 1st day at Yosemite. We loved the antiques and the home was very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying at this very comfortable and cozy home. Such a beautiful location. The house has everything we could have wanted. It was clean and well stocked. The kitchen has nearly every gadget and tool necessary to make a holiday meal. Lewis Creek runs in the backyard, making wonderful waterfall sounds all day and night. The proximity to park and other attractions in the area is fantastic. You can be at the South Gate in 15 to 20 minutes (without traffic). Town is a 5 minute drive. NOTHING to complain about here. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Great rental. Located close to bass lake and Yosemite, it's easy to do day trips to either one. A really great feature is the private stream on the property, this has been amazing both times. You can sit next to the river and just relax in privacy while the kids play in the water. Later at night you can grill up some steaks, have a drink and hop in the hot tub.
