Updated Oceanfront Beach House
The "Pink Pelican" was completely renovated in June 2020. We recently replaced living room furniture as well to seat more people. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is perfect for your family getaway. Downstairs consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen + a full size crib, and a spacious bathroom. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen and 1 Twin and a spacious bathroom. All mattresses are Tuft & Needle and have mattress protectors on them. All 4 bedrooms have smart TVs, as well as the living room. You will be able to stream from your favorite serivces on all tvs. All TVs also have the Sling App for basic cable use.
The kitchen is equipped with all of the things you will need.
Enjoy sitting on the new deck with your coffee or cocktail and listen to the peaceful ocean waves. For those with little ones, we installed a locking gate at the top of the deck.
We do not provide linens; guest will have to bring their own sheets and towels. Linens can also be rented from Sharon's Linens. If you wish to rent linens, please let me know when booking as we set it up through our cleaners for a seamless process. Additionally, they offer beach gear and additional baby gear if needed.
We have a high chair, booster seat, full size crib, and baby gate for families staying with small children.
Publix and Food Lion are located on the island and less than 5 minutes from our house.
We have a list in the beach house of our favorite places to order take out or go eat at!
Absolutely no pets or smoking.
Renters must be 25 years of age.
Summer rentals are done weekly Saturday-Saturday. Summer season is considered Mid June to Mid August.
Off season is available with a 2 night minimum stay.

Some friends and I stayed here for a fishing trip. The house is very nice, and everything g worked as expected. There was easy beach access and all other amenities. Owner Mellissa was very nice and responsive through Vrbo app. 10/10 would recommend.

Spectacular Week
Our stay at the "Pink Pelican" was terrific.
The house is in a great location, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities close by. There is a Publix and a Food Lion within a couple of miles, seafood, barbecue takeout, coffee shops, donuts, ice cream- and we won Trivia at one of the bars.
The house was very clean and bright, and really well appointed. Appliances are high quality and worked well (ICE MAKER in freezer!). The kitchen has all the pots, pans, dishes and gadgets you can possibly use. The dishwasher does a great job, so we didn't have to spend vacation time washing all the dishes.
Beds are all really comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are in good repair. The living room has comfy couch & chairs. The dining table seats 8- and although we didn't need it, there's a high chair
The front deck has rockers and chairs for morning coffee drinking , dolphin-watching, and afternoon drinks. There is a hose at the top of the stairs for rinsing off the sand after beach walks. And beach walking is the best. Sunrise & sunset can both be seen from the beach which is literally steps from the house. We easily walked a couple of miles each day.
Communication with the owner was easy and comprehensive through the VRBO app/associated emails. They contacted us and replied quickly to our inquiries and comments. There is also a notebook with pertinent info in the kitchen area.
I really hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again. You'll be so happy here.

Fun girls weekend
We had such a fun girls weekend in Oak Island. The Pink Pelican was a fantastic place to stay. The house was adorable and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Close to so many things to do. I will keep it on my list of places to stay.

Family Weekend
This home exceeded our expectations. It looked just like the photos & comfortably accommodated 9 of us. The ocean view was amazing & beach access was right next to the property. Gaining access to the property was so easy & the home was clean upon arrival. The host quickly responded to any questions we had. Grocery stores & shopping are just a couple miles away. Would definitely recommend!
