Views from every room! Welcome to our family's oceanfront cottage located on the West End near the Point on Oak Island. We are so thrilled to share our home away from home with you! Home includes an elevator from parking level / basement level to the main floor. The moment you come upstairs to the main level, you'll be enthralled by the views from every window and the brand new modern decor. The living room is newly outfitted with two sets of sliding doors to create a wall of glass that will leave you feeling like you're sitting on a cruise ship. We know you'll love making memories with your loved ones here whether you're scouting the horizon for our friendly dolphin friends as they swim by or enjoying family movie night on the brand new LG TV. Want to spread out a bit? Check out our second story loft balcony - a perfect spot for reading where you can relax on the love seat or play PacMan. Our kitchen is equipped with all the basics you need to cook meals with your family and share your adventures around the dining room table, all while taking in the breathtaking ocean views. There's no better way to wind down after a fun day in the sun than to sit around the table and share stories, photos, and your beach treasures. Of course if you're the eat-outdoors-type, we've got you covered! You can enjoy the salty air and listen to the waves while eating at our picnic table located on our oceanfront deck. Don't feel like cooking? No worries! You can walk to the brand new Lonerider Brewery and less then a mile to the Point. Speaking of the deck, imagine rocking away all of your worries while enjoying your morning tea or coffee and watching the sunrise, or wind down at the end of the day and look for shooting stars while enjoying your favorite beverage. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, our deck will give you the respite you deserve! Ready to call it a night? Two of our bedrooms feature stunning oceanfront views, the lower level one has direct access to the deck! The other two bedrooms feature views of the sound. No one is drawing short straws in this house! There is a full hall bathroom on each level. Bedroom #1: King Bedroom #2: Queen Bedroom #3: King Bedroom #4: Queen We provide a washer and dryer on the ground level near the main entry and of course towels and linens. We provide a starter pack of paper towels and toilet paper. Pets are welcome to join the fun. Maximum of 2 are allowed and there would be a pet fee. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do! Being on the quiet end of the island was relaxing, and we loved being within walking distance of Lonerider Brewery and the point. First, the inside of the house was really great. Everything was clean and the bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. The living area is nice with a big comfortable couch. The kitchen is nice, but could be stocked better. We appreciate anything that’s provided but it was a little light on check in supplies (one laundry pod, one trash bag). We were not as impressed with the outside and felt like it needed cleaned up. The back porch view is beautiful with a nice hottub, but there’s only one old rocking chair along with an outdoor couch. If we had any more people we wouldnt have been able to fit. Around the property, there are building materials and misplaced furniture and things that really didn’t help the presentation. We likely wouldn’t return because of the price but we did enjoy the stay. ##### Dan C. One thing I would recommend is at least trimming the weeds to make it more presentable. There are vines with thorns that could harm the renters and trimming them is easy. Loved the location of this house and the decor was also really nice. You're just steps away from the ocean. The house had everything you could need to cook. The multicade vintage video game was so fun. We visited in the off-season and it was so incredibly peaceful! Exactly what we were looking for in our trip. Also, when a snow storm was forecast for the island, the host graciously allowed us to reschedule our trip by one week. We came home wonderfully rested and relaxed.
