Location OK

Posted 8-Feb-2016
Pros: Location to shopping and downtown was nice, lots in walking distance, lots of everything
Cons: Rooms need updating, figure a better way to include parking
Location: Shopping everywhere, plenty of restaurants of all types, lots of shuttles and transport
Staff were pleasant, property was decent, restaurant was no more than average for the breakfast buffet. Both rooms were not all that clean, we requested to be moved from first room and the second room was nicer and cleaner. On all it was just average, not amazing and not with all the competing rooms in the area. Had to pay to park per day in the hotels own garage (25.00), seems steep. Was not a great value with all the extras to get parked, resort fee and breakfast

Not handicap friendly.

Posted 6-Feb-2016
Pros: The beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Merely offering to help me get a door open would have made a world of difference
Location: Right near the beach!!
There were few good things I can say about this hotel as a person using a walker. The ramp from the street to the lobby was very steep. All the doors to every facility were heavy and I had to shove my walker in quickly to get in before they shut on me. The bathroom was extremely narrow and I couldn't get the walker into the shower area. The "tub" was a pan about 12 inches deep and maybe 4 ft. long so I couldn't lift my foot over and had to lean back to drag my foot in. The shower head was a barely adjustable hand held that shot sideways. The breakfast buffet was accessible by stairs!, so a waiter had to bring me coffee and juice. No effort was made to assist me when they saw I had difficulties with plate and walker. On the high side, the bed was very comfortable! The beds and bedding were nice and clean. Everything appeared standard hotel clean, if a bit shabby because of age. If I hadn't been incapacitated I probably wouldn't have said much more than grouse about the tiny shower.

Close to the beach

Posted 6-Feb-2016
Hotel is close to the beach in a busy area of Waikiki. Room was adequate, lots of restaurants and stores close by. Waikiki is a busy area. Our room was on the 16th floor and we could still hear a lot of street noise throughout the night.

Close to beach. Room condition needs updating.

Posted 6-Feb-2016
Pros: Close to beach.
Cons: Room needed renovation.
Location: Close to the beach, which is why we chose it.
Staff was excellent. I ordered and paid for an ocean view room from Expedia, but got confirmation for a non ocean view, but mini sweet . I didn't notice until I got to hotel, I told them it was a problem with Expedia, not theirs, but they corrected anyway.

Great location. Good value. Buffet was decent, but better to order from the menu. Hotel gives 20% off to guests.

Awkward bath room design, slow and spotty wifi. But great location. Got lower level floor room probably because of lower price from Expedia sale

Good hotel close to beach

Posted 24-Jan-2016
Pros: Proximity to beach and wide choice of restaurants
Cons: Water hammer in pipes
All as promised. Only problem was noisy water pipes (intermittently). Front desk sent technician straight away but he was able to agree with the assessment of the problem but wasn't able to fix it. He said he'd report it to management so hope it gets fixed

We enjoyed our stay here

Posted 23-Jan-2016
Pros: Proximity to Waikiki attractions.
Cons: Charge the concierge fee at the time of booking, and allow meals to be charged to the room.
There seemed to be always something fun going on at the beach and it was nice being only about 100 seconds away. The staff at Waikiki Resort Hotel were very polite, and when the Wifi in the room wouldn't work, a technician came up within 30 minutes and got it going quickly (BTW, the wifi was fast and without other glitches we've often experienced with hotel wifi's.) Our favorite was the buffet breakfast at Ilima's, it's all American but with some Korean options as well that were fun to try out. The $10 per day concierge fee charged at the end of the stay got us a discount at the breakfast, beach towels, and all the DVD movies we could watch. We didn't have a car but found we could walk from here to nearly everything in Waikiki, including the zoo, aquarium, and ample shopping. We booked through Expedia, and they ran the travel desk at the hotel. So, the travel desk made all our arrangements and printed our vouchers for snorkeling and other day trips, freeing us from that hassle.
