"Great hotel located close to everything!"
We had an ocean view room. It was worth every penny to open the sliding doors and hear the ocean waves! The view was absolutely gorgeous as well. We could also see Diamond Head. We walked an average 6 miles a day either around town or hiking. We did have a rental car so we could explore the island and used it maybe 3 days of the 7 we were there. There is a fridge so we bought some yogurts to eat in the morning. If you pay extra (per day) you can the continental breakfast eat at the Beach Club in the hotel.

"Great hotel close to the beach"
We were in room 2018. Absolutely fantastic view of the turquoise waters of Waikiki Beach. 50" TV. End of the hall so we had a corner room with a wraparound balcony. Room was meticulously clean. 24/7 restaurant bar and room service. Yoga by the pool. Would definitely stay there again.

"Resort prices without the resort experience"
I stayed here last year with friends and loved it in a 2 bedroom so I booked here with my husband and toddler this time and was really disappointed. With the price you pay, you would expect a little luxury - no pool on site, no room service, no cleaning service daily, a lumpy sofa bed, no crib provided when asked and a broken safe - you even have to call if you want new towels!! The limited staff they do have on in the lobby barely make you feel welcome, if they look up from what they are doing at all. Having to cart our own luggage and a cranky toddler in a pram because there aren't enough staff was just one of the examples of poor service. And then to get picked up or dropped off your transport picks you up in the middle of the street as there's no driveway and limited street parking. THEN, they stick you with a $200 cleaning fee for your stay - on top of the outrageous prices! Next time I'm going to book the hotel down the street offering the same condo style with all the hotel amenities you'd expect on holidays. It seems the Recency uses its outrigger name to demand big prices when it's really not worth it.

"Everything you want at your finger tips !"
Beautiful features 3 Towers. Modern picturesque. Beautiful view, comfortable balcony, very neat, clean rooms. Staff was excellent. Wonderful touches throughout with a Hawaiian touch greeting with Lei's, and Flavored Iced Tea or Water waiting for you to help yourself. Wonderful Elevator Attendants to assist. All the activities are available on the Beach in front of the hotel, just across the Boardwalk. Lovely Beach Towels waiting for you with the Parking Attendants. A Variety of stores are in the Hotel with about anything you need. They also have a once a week open marketplace in front of the stores with all kinds of food, produce, gifts, plants, flowers, and so much more. Everything is in walking distance. Perfect hotel for young and old alike. I highly recommend this hotel and will return. Thanks for the Memories. Dawn

"nice hotel and close to the beach"
Our room was ready when we arrived early around 11am (nice). We had a hospitality room on our departure day so we could spend the day around town and at the pool and then get freshened up for our flight home (great).
