"Great location.,comforable room, quite!"
Hilton Waikiki beach exceeded my expection. Location has walking distance to the beach and shopping street. We like it- It's quite and comfortable! We slept well during our 7 nights stay. Bell desk service is outstanding . Everyone look happy and willing to help. One of the member - Ryan did awesome job. Compared with Front desk, I wish they can do better .. Not to mention the person's name - he just doesn't like his work- not welcoming, no smile . When I check in, I was the one very cheerful , Aloha! On this trip , I invited my sister and brother in law to join us ( they are from Sydney,Australia), We went on Mini Bus circle Island tour,Polynesian culture center ,Pearl Harbor , SunsetCruise.tour And Kauai Island . We had great time ! Definately , we will go back to Hawaii. Next trip will visit Big Island and Maui. Let the fun continual.......Aloha

We had a wonderful one night stay at Ilikai. Staff was friendly and we must've booked on a busy day, our room was not ready for early check-in and was still not available upon the standard 3pm check-in either. However the front staff desk worked diligently to assess our room status and it was ready within the hour. The sunset suite view was amazing! The concierge desk and getting a cab was flawless - they were available upon asking. Location was great by the beach, right next to the lagoon - our room also provided free beach towels and chairs (upon request at check-in and free only if you make sure to return them). We enjoyed our stayed!

"Resort prices without the resort experience"
I stayed here last year with friends and loved it in a 2 bedroom so I booked here with my husband and toddler this time and was really disappointed. With the price you pay, you would expect a little luxury - no pool on site, no room service, no cleaning service daily, a lumpy sofa bed, no crib provided when asked and a broken safe - you even have to call if you want new towels!! The limited staff they do have on in the lobby barely make you feel welcome, if they look up from what they are doing at all. Having to cart our own luggage and a cranky toddler in a pram because there aren't enough staff was just one of the examples of poor service. And then to get picked up or dropped off your transport picks you up in the middle of the street as there's no driveway and limited street parking. THEN, they stick you with a $200 cleaning fee for your stay - on top of the outrageous prices! Next time I'm going to book the hotel down the street offering the same condo style with all the hotel amenities you'd expect on holidays. It seems the Recency uses its outrigger name to demand big prices when it's really not worth it.

"Nice hotel near to the beach "
I loved the way they treat you and they are very friendly people. They are located in a perfect spot to go out to eat and to go to the beach. They give very good breakfast.

"Great location, pretty setting, tiny room"
The hotel is in a nice quiet area of Waikiki, which is hard to find in Waikiki, and the grounds and access to the beach were outstanding. The restaurant food and views were exceptional. The hotel staff was super, very friendly, cordial, and generous with their time. Our only complaint was the room size. Granted, we reserved one of the least expensive rooms they had available on short notice, but it was seriously just a few square feet larger than the measurements of the queen bed. We didn't spend much time in the room, but when we did, it was very uncomfortable. The bathroom sink had no room for toiletries, and there was minimal space in the room to unpack. I probably wouldn't stay there again unless I had an unlimited budget so that I could reserve one of their nicest rooms.

"Beautiful hotel"
We were able to upgrade our room to an ocean view, and I'm glad we did because it was beautiful. It's nice to hear the ocean and have the ocean breeze come into your room.
