Rooms very dirty smelling and the pillows were missing or never existed. I went and purchased my own while I was out. Definitely good for people on a budget. As there is a room fridge and microwave. I would say people looked to be living there more than it was a hotel. For visitors to the area.

All of it was horrible. I got told when my 4 month old was crying that she was being to loud and we needed to keep it down or else we will be kicked out.

All I can say is you get what you pay for. I was trying to save money. There was a huge cobweb in the corner. The bed was uncomfortable and so was the pillow. I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend you to either.

Amenities are ok. But there is so much odor in the room which we hated. Also the sheets aren’t clean. We understand that things can’t look new for the price at least they can be clean. Bathroom is clean though. Soaps are provided.

This place is a dive and shouldn't even be listed as a motel on your site. As soon as we pulled in we could tell it wasn't a place we wanted to be. No care of the exterior or of the grounds, and as soon as you walked in the door, the smell will knock you out. I was worried of what to do as my credit card showed it had already been charged, but the guy at the desk said I didn't have a reservation that showed up on his computer. What a blessing! I was able to get a refund through Expedia and find a really nice motel in the next town.

Bad hotel experience
This hotel charged me $120 before tax one night in Aug. The room condition was really bad. Carpet and bath towel were dirty. No toothpaste for customers and nobody was on duty in late night. I understand its star is low and should not have higher expectations. But I believe its room condition and service didn’t deserve $120 per night. I really do not recommend this hotel.

It was gross .. It smelled so bad .. Very unclean.. No handicap rooms and told there was. Very shady ppl standing in their doors watching ppl .. Sign stated if your unhappy with your room you have 15 minutes to return to the office for a refund . took 4days for our refund

dont stay here!
me and my boyfriend came down here to play a little cards and drank to much so we decided to be safe and stay but little did we know our front door doesnt have the dead bolt working in order to close the door you have to slam it shut, and in the bathroom there were hairs and i went to use the restroom and the totilet almost fell off. wow. never coming here again

Love this hotel.
The customer service is what really amazed me. The gentleman at the desk was so helpful, way outside of what one would expect. Looked up local phone numbers for me, gave me a room in an area that I would be the safest in case some gut came for me. And a couple other things to make my stay better. I don't understand why there could be low ratings.

Beware, you have been warned!
Front desk service was extremely slow at check in. Took 15 minutes to check into 2 rooms. Clerk had to run 40 or so magnetic keys to find 3 that would work and take programming. Unclean hallways that had lawn chairs blocking, beer cans stacked along windows, and garbage lying out. Rooms (we had 2) were filled with strong smoke odor, broken cabinet doors, toilets that leaked, and one room was infested with stink buys. A/C units looked like they haven't been cleaned in a decade. One of the sheets had an old blood stain on it. I kept thinking I would find a dead body somewhere. Pay cash at the desk, and save $20. Big trucker stop hotel, and long term tenant type of place. Wish I took photos...

This hotel was absolutely disgusting! My husband and I did not feel safe with all the people outside. It looked like there were drug deals going on and some prostitution. It is a dirty hotel and i do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The pictures are very deceiving, the room looked nice and clean but as soon as we walked in the smoke detector was hanging off the wall (broken I assume) and there were burn holes in the blankets & curtains. Granted the hotel was $50 but at least have decently clean environment for your guest to stay in. Definitely don't want to go back to Michigan City, Indiana...

Nasty Bed Bug Trap !
The Place is Quite poor now ! We did stay there a few Years, 2 or 3, back, and it was Much better then. I think the New Hospital there putting in next Door, is the reason why.? There hoping for a big Selling Price.? The Bedding hadn't been Changed, and We got our " First Encounter With Bed Bugs "! India Indian Ownership, now, I think.?

It was absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The walls were covered in stains as well as the floor. The bed wasn't clean. Our door hardly shut. The absolute worst. That being said, my friends and I had a great time experiencing the absolute sh*thole that is The Dunes Inn
