Be Prepared to Pack Many Essential Items
The place was clean. We rent cottages because we enjoy cooking and eating together when we travel. The kitchen didn't have a coffee maker, towels, dish cloths, and very little in the way of utensils, we had to go out to the store to buy a can opener. I don't think that I'm unusual when I say that I don't travel with a coffee maker. We didn't have enough towels or wash cloths for our group of four people. In fact, the property is advertised as comfortable for 8 adults but we only had towels provided for one person. Fortunately, I had packed some from home. I also don't know how 8 people would use only one shower at the property. It's really only 1.5 bathrooms. Additionally the property is listed with a BBQ/Grill on site. It turns out, it's just a fit pit with some heavily used screens. VRBO should confirm whether the amenities are listed accurately. The owner indicated a few days before check-in that she offers a grill "place" - meaning a fire pit. The amenities list indicates a BBQ / Grill. Last, we drove down two roads in an attempt to find the waste facility to dispose of our garbage. We were unsuccessful in finding the waste disposal sites but even so, when we googled the addresses, we discovered they were closed. For the rental rate, the housekeeping staff should remove the garbage. Cute place, clean, but too much work.
