There was some kind of festival going on so parking was a slight problem. Had to park in mall parking lot and walk about 8 min. Breakfast was outstanding.

Great for the price, didn’t love that the baggage storage option was just a corner of the lobby, but thankful for the option nonetheless. Breakfast options were a bit sparse.

Friendly staff and whilst the decor is a bit outdated, it comes with its own charm, is quite spacious and clean. Good quality breakfast with choice. Good transport links- bus stop was a few minutes away to get to the train station and easy to park motorbikes at the back of the property. Relatively easy to walk into town and spas. Good location, reasonably priced and would stay here again.

Cute and clean but the Wi-Fi did not work consistently or often, and parking had to be paid every two hours if one cannot find free parking nearby. Staff did not tell us where to find free parking options when asked if there were other options than paying every two hours, but someone on the street let us know. Breakfast was lovely with fresh buns and eggs, sliced meats and cheese, plus lovely staff to serve café and clear plates. Water pressure was great and beds were comfortable with an extra wool blanket for cool nights.

Great place to stay. Close to transit. Very close to central area of the town. Everything is walkable. Staff was excellent. Room was excellent. Internet was slow, which didn't help when planning the next part of our trip, but it did the job in the end.

Ideal for music concert at Festspielhaus
This hotel is located ideally for music concerts at Festspiehaus, which is next to the hotel. I visited to Baden-Baden to enjoy the Berliner Philharmoniker's Easter Festival there and this hotel is one of the most convenient hotels for this. In addition, the staffs, the room space and the breakfast were excellent and I enjoyed the comfortable stay. Furthermore, this hotel is located within 10-minute walk from sightseeing spots including baths and saunas. I'd like to visit this hotel again.

Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are comfortable and attractively furnished. Breakfast was fine, the coffee was good and there is a cold buffet. The internet is a disaster in this hotel and basically does not work consistently anywhere that we tried in the hotel (our room, dining room, hallway, stairwell). The connection fluctuates and we were constantly kicked out of the internet and had to re-type the password, only to be in for three or four minutes and have the internet mysteriously drop out again. This made it it impossible to use the internet to research the area and impossible to answer E-mail, really a no-go in today's world. We were lucky to find other hotspots that did work in Baden-Baden, but it would have been much more convenient had it actually worked in the hotel. We mentioned this upon check out, and they said they would pass this comment on to the boss. For this reason, we would not choose this hotel again.

Conveniently situated near Frankfurt Main Station.
The hotel looks like it has recently been refurbished, and has a modern but simple interior. There is a little road noise during the day but it was quiet at night and the train station cannot be heard from the hotel. Good value for money I thought. I was sceptical at first but left quite happy with the stay and would use the hotel again as a budget option. Cleanliness and a proper shower are the most important things for me, and I was very happy.

Our stay was short, the hotel functioned rarely well. There was street noise, but there was a festival going so it was expected. The room was fair but id not excel.

Very conveniently located. Excellent staff.
The very genuine-sounding welcome, the information offered about the town, the room, the breakfast and the willingness to help with any question, as soon as possible, was terrific. I understand this hotel doesn't have additional facilities, like a swimming pool, but I can't think what else would prevent it from gaining a higher star rating. I've been in many 4 star hotels that weren't a patch on this one; largely because of the staff.

Excellent value for money
This hotel represented excellent value for money and was located in a perfect spot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return if we go back to Baden Baden which is itself a delightful town.

Good value in an expensive town.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is very nice and the breakfast buffet was better than I thought. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the main attractions of Baden-Baden. Only drawback was that the wi-fi didn't work that well in the room (my room was farther from the office and I think that was the reason)

Good value and good location
This is a very good hotel. Although I booked a single room at a very good price, I was put in a large room with twin beds. I was told ALL rooms are doubles. An older hotel, some rooms are larger and some are smaller. Each room has a new safe which was very easy to use. The bathrooms are new and modern with a hair dryer. There was a large new television. To shut out the light, you need to use a pull cord between the sheer drapes and the windows which lowers or raises the outside panels. The light switches baffled me until I discovered pressing the two smaller switches at the same time turned off the lights. The breakfast buffet was very good: no hot scambled eggs or sausages but there were hard boiled eggs. I would readily stay here again.

Good location and good price, very comfortable bed and bathroom, but the reception service is closed at 10 PM. Hotel called us before closing, and they have key box in front of hotel. I can use password to get the key, it is a very interesting experience.

Checked into the hotel and our rooms spacious & very comfortable. The elevator (Lift) is a bit tricky but staff showed us how it all works. the only complaint is that you have to carry or HAUL your bag up a short flight of stairs...not too easy if you have a heavy load.

Convenient for the opera
A rave revue except for one silly thing: from time to time the wi-fi would disconnect, and I had to take my I-Pad to an internet cubicle before it would reconnect. Very aggravating!

Right next to the festival theater.
Very comfortable and very convenient if you are attending performances at the festival theater. Only 10 minutes walk to downtown. Easy access by bus from the train station. A couple of decent restaurants nearby.

The hotel staff was not friendly! The free WiFi does work well on second floor. The box is on first floor. I told this is an ongoing issue. Great location for walking and food. Super price for location. Modern rooms but hotel will take you back to earlier times!

Perfect for Festspielhaus events
I was there to work with a show at the Festspielhaus (performing arts theater). The hotel is directly across the street from the theater. Breakfast is complementary and fulfilling (fruit, meats, croissants & breads, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, some vegetables). Small grocery store across the street for bottled water and snacks. Italian, Spanish and Pizza restaurant less than a block away. Theater restaurant open on show nights - sufficient. Ate there twice. Clean room that faced the main street with great view of hills and castle. I was there in early October so great weather and had window open for part of the day. Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient location. Enjoyed a large room with high ceilings, comfortable bed, two windows which made the room light and airy but could use black out curtains. Nice size bathroom also with a window. Not all rooms are the same and some are quite small depending on the room rate. Nice breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff. Would certainly stay here again and Baden Baden is a wonderful place to visit.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: I was only in the hotel for a night, and had to check out before breakfast. The Schweizer Hof is an old hotel that could do with some maintenance and update its decor. This is definitely a no-frills hotel for people who don't intend to spend much time in their room. PROS: The exterior was attractive and it was located close to the center of town. The Front Desk Attendant, Sara, was very friendly and helpful and she did her best to make the stay pleasant. She took the time to tell me all about the local attractions and arranged my cab for the early morning. The room was very large, though furnishing was spartan. The hotel was very quiet. I didn't see or hear any other guests during my stay. CONS: The public areas were rather grim and in disrepair. The furnishings in the room were old and worn out and the bed had a thin, low quality mattress. The mattress was hostel standard. The front desk is left unattended from 10pm until 6am. If you have a problem or need anything during these hours its not clear what you should do. The hotel was very quiet. I didn't see or hear any other guests during my stay.
