We had fun in the area - hiking state parks (Mount Jefferson and Rendezvous), National Park System Brinegar Cabin, Blue Ridge Parkway, Emerald Hollow Mine, Love Valley (horse only town) Christmas parade/ tree lighting, and a mead flight at Stardust Cellars (kid and dog friendly). « We rented this cabin last minute after being unable to access our original booking due to ice/snow, and we were not at all disappointed! This cabin was beautifully decorated, cozy/comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect! Easy access even with the snow and ice and within walking distance of both downtown Boone and a park to walk our dogs. Kelly was a great host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. »
