This is a wonderful hostel! This was the cheapest of all the hostels we stayed at during our UK travels, but it had the best facilities and amenities among them (though all were great). We were able to wash our laundry (purchased tide pods at reception). We also had their continental breakfast (they have a hot breakfast option as well). Recommended!

ŸHA Conwy - Excellent Stay with Friends
It was a very good experience overall with very nice staff and good clean room. Stayed for 3 days and the facilities to cook own meals was excellent with all the required utensils available in abundance. The shower did not have soap (liquid) facility which could be included.

Everything ok but lack of wifi in bedrooms is a major issue. Every visitor I spoke to complained about it and some will definitely not return until and unless wifi is available in all rooms.

Excellent location with a great view, shower room with super-good water pressure. But be minded that this is a hostel and you are supposed to bring your own towels.

I was very impressed with the way this accommodation was observing safety regarding Covid. This was in contrast with a hotel not too many miles where I had previously stayed. I found the the duty manager pleasant and welcoming. Firstly he thanked me for wearing a mask and told me what measures that had been put in place regarding covid. I felt very safe there. The room was clean and adequate. The view out of the window was amazing. I felt everyone there was observing safety regulations and was respectful to everyone else. A very pleasant stay in a beautiful setting.

Awesome venue
Fantastic location and incredible views. Great indoor and outdoor space. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They do have a green light shinning though the light when it is switched off so bring tape to cover it up. Would highly recommend.

Loved our stay. Beautiful, central, & great staff!
We enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The place was conveniently located on the edge of the center, castle, and beach. Gareth was incredibly warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with any trip planning or other needs we had - he definitely brought an enthusiasm to his job not often found and a highlight of our trip. Breakfast was decent for the price. Be aware that the walk to town is down a hill, so it is a bit of a hike to get back. Overall we loved it and would return here in the future.

Good budget option in Conwy
Good budget option for Conwy, which doesn't have many cheap accommodation choices. It's a couple of hundred metres outside the fortified old town, up a hill. The views from the dining room are very picturesque. The accommodation is basic, but clean. The staff I dealt with were all friendly.

Really friendly and helpful staff, great room for the price. Quite small (expected) but very comfy mattresses, all the key things were there - hot shower, great views, good lounge to spend time in, friendly atmosphere with lots of families. Very close to Conwy centre, as long as you don't mind the hill! Due to Covid there were few facilities, eg. laundry room was not available, but they rang us in advance to warn us about that and check it was OK.

Lovely staff, went to every measure to comply with social distancing rules during Covid pandemic. Felt really safe and well protected throughout our stay. Takeaway breakfast sandwiches were amazing!

Nice room, better than expected but pipes made a lot of noise when used in rooms nearby. Only complaint is it was too noisy when trying to sleep at night. Nice view from dining area.

Nice stop off at this high quality youth hostel overlooking the Conwy valley - the walk up to the panoramic lounge is worth doing. Very light with the 1970s modern interiors. Great little games room with pool and board games. Conwy is a great little town mostly enclosed by castle walls. The only thing I'd improve is fill in some of the potholes on the access road - I decided to push my bicycle down the hill.

Super Affordable
Affordable hostel near the heart of Conwy, just what we needed. We booked a double room and the private bathroom was next door, not inside the room. The room was basic, no wifi (only in common area), clean bedding and was very quiet at night. Receptionist was very helpful even though we arrived late.

Perfect for what we needed.
The Hostel was good accommodation for us as we were visiting Llandudno to attend a training course, therefore facilities were not that important. Two adults sharing a room was a bit squashed and needed some clever manoevering to cope. Shower was powerful! Breakfast in morning was adequate, staff friendly. Self catering kitchen by the side of the dining area was brilliant - would opt for this next time! Short walk into Conwy where there was a few pubs and restaurants available. We went to the bluebell pub where a band was playing - huge beer garden which had some shelter so you could sit outside and be dry even though it had been raining, appeared to be dog friendly also. Ate at Amelie's the following night which was excellent. Hostel was warm, very welcoming to children with good views. Our stay was £15 each per night, approx £5 for breakfast which was full English . Staff also happy to provide gluten free toast. Would stay again.

Good value for money
Given that it's a hostel, it should come as no surprise that YHA Conwy is good value for the money you spend. My sister and I got a room with a private bathroom and although the room was tiny, it was clean enough and served our purposes. The staff we met was helpful and nice (although not overly friendly). One drawback I would point out would be its location, on top of a hill, which can be tiring to get to if you don't have a vehicle and are carrying lots of luggage. Aside from that, overall, YHA Conwy was an okay place to stay in.
