Ideal place for Snowdonia.

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: Location, food, staff, views,
Cons: Signage to the car park approaching from the bridge.
Location: Portmerion. Snowdonia. Gelert's grave.
Great base with good facilities. Food good, staff helpful and friendly. The river and bridge nearby, the surrounding hills, all help to create a wonderful atmosphere.

Ideal hotel for walking in snowdonia.

Posted 25-Oct-2015
Pros: Welcoming feel, both from hotel and staff. Including guests with dogs. Will bring my pup along next visit. In the not too distant future.
Cons: Slightly too cool in dining room during breakfast service. We also asked for some background music at breakfast. (Which was provided) Way too quiet.
Location: Beautiful little village. Ideal location for walking.
Comfortable hotel with welcoming staff. Rooms newly refurbished to a good standard. Nice touches of Welsh tweed used in rooms and public areas. Good to come back to open fire in lobby after long walks in beautiful country side. Excellent breakfast and well presented good simple food in bar .

Very good central location

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: The Hotel has been recently refurbished to a pleasingly high standard.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good location for walking, mountain climbing, Porthmadoc is not far with beautiful beaches. There are Gardens to visit .
My husband had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and would say there again if we were going for another weekend in that area. A very picturesque place with plenty of walks by the river, lots of eating places, a art Gallery and a few small shops. We had a relaxing weekend.

Nice hotel, modern and well equipped rooms retaining traditional character "downstairs". Great location, very picturesque village and good access to the hills. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.
