Very good central location

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: The Hotel has been recently refurbished to a pleasingly high standard.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good location for walking, mountain climbing, Porthmadoc is not far with beautiful beaches. There are Gardens to visit .
My husband had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and would say there again if we were going for another weekend in that area. A very picturesque place with plenty of walks by the river, lots of eating places, a art Gallery and a few small shops. We had a relaxing weekend.

Nice hotel, great location

Nice hotel, modern and well equipped rooms retaining traditional character "downstairs". Great location, very picturesque village and good access to the hills. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.

Excellent refurbished hotel/pub

The rooms have recently been refurbished and are first class, plenty of space, huge bathroom. Everything as a contemporary feel. Food in the bar downstairs is fine and the breakfast was very good. Will definitely be back.

Well appointed Hotel - used as my base camp

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Pros: As above
Cons: More staff to cover breakfast/ Wifi in the rooms.
The Saracens Head had newly been renovated upon my arrival. The staff were friendly and proficient. It maybe useful to have one more member of staff on shift throughout the day and improve Wifi connection (possibly extended to the rooms.) - otherwise only comments are - excellent rooms, comfy beds, good food, with a wide menu, a very accommodating chef and upbeat and engaging staff. Well done and keep up the good work.
