"While we had a good night at this property, and the kitchen and common area were great, the place was not particularly clean, there was only one bathroom for 12 beds and the room and bathroom door locks were not functional. We did not know which room was ours and had to figure that out by finding someone who could tell us. It seemed that not all of the work was finished to get this property ready to use. That said, it was peaceful, quiet and calm. "

"We went on a spur of the moment cycling trip to Salt Spring Island. The hills were tough but at the end of that error in judgment was the gem that is Hummingbird B&B. "I hosted a retreat here with 7 people staying and sharing the beautiful living space. The land brings so much to the experience, the movement space is so functional and Heidi is the perfect host. Gorgeous meadows, forests and being able to spend time at the ocean and with the horses is incredible. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to host a retreat in a quiet, beautiful space."

"We enjoyed our night in this unusual B&B. Backpacking season hasn't really started yet, so we had the place to ourselves. There are 2 rooms with 4 bunks each, and 1 room with 6 bunks. You need to book each bed seperately. There is a shared bathroom. It would be excellent for a bunch of frends to gather, or for individuals looking to meet fellow backpackers. The host was very helpful, responding to our questions right away."

"Hot plate did not work so had to buy one to cook had to buy my own pan and knifes for cutting fruits the yard could be kept and more enjoyable to look at also there are patches and repairs throughout unit. Inside is ok but poorly stocked for the price."

"This a very quiet and relaxing little property, a bit far from restaurants or groceries or anything. The room has a nice comfortable bed and a small kitchen with everything you need. There isn’t a lot to do there other than relax or hang out in the pool and hot tub. I didn’t see that there was kayaking or any other water activities available there."

"We've been to this property many times however there were a few snags with this trip. We asked if a playpen was available via email and phone call. We were told we would be called the day before to be informed if we could have one - they never communicated with us. Our cottage (43) also had terrible water pressure. There was zero water coming out of the top floor bathrooms sink, and the bath trickled water - so it took 45 minutes to fill it if you wanted to use it. I informed management via...

"stayed at the west over BnB for 2 nights an it was great, close enough to town but you feel so private and remote tucked away with the trees. Martin was so kind and welcoming, offering great suggestions for the activities I wanted to do; breakfast was delicious and the outdoor tub under the full moon was magic."
