"Really great hotel with scenic views of the lake behind the city. Service and quality of the hotel is amazing. We didn't try the food there, but saw that Cafe 99 on the 1st floor had a nice looking dinner buffet. Location is near the center of the city, so lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The concierge was also really helpful and provided food recommendations. The lobby includes a kid's play area, but it wasn't open during our time there. Pool was lovely. "A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. An added bonus was the actual shadow art performance and demonstration by the puppeteer. "

THe walker track outside the lake is very nice and fresh but no duck catching is permitted. The swimming pool is very nice . checkout extension allowed but it was foolly bookered for next day so they dont allow me to extend one more day. "
