Cool Hotel, even cooler hot water
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and checking in was super easy. Everything was very clean and the stay was almost perfect except for my one complaint with this hotel. I've stayed here several times and the problem never seems to be remedied and that problem is that the hot water in the shower is nowhere near hot enough. Granted I like my showers really hot but this was barely above considerably warm. I tried it three different times hoping that maybe the tank was just empty but they all turned out the same. By the time I was through drying off I was shivering with the room temperature up to 74.

Russell,We are so sorry you had a cool shower but we are happy you like us! The hotwater heater has had a issue for just a little bit. We have dealt with it only while waiting on a part and if you are ever here and anything is wrong please come to me to let me know right away. We will correct the issue right away. Now, as I write your response we have got the part for the hot water heater and it is installed. We are now "full steam" ahead. Please come back and see for your self the water is so hot! Just like it has been prior to our part we had to wait on. Thank you for your patience and your great sense of humor. Rodolfo,I appreciate you talking to me when I called you on11-1-2023. Bed bugs are hitchhikers and are taken from one point to another on any individuals personal items. A person can even pick them up at the local shopping stores. I feel sure the one you saw was brought in this very way. In the picture you sent to me, the bug was on the drop down of the sheet. There were no other signs or evidence in this room. In our business we are trained to recognize this bug and we take care of the sighting immediately. We do this by acting as if it was a full blown case. However, it is "a sighting" of one of these pesky hitchhikers; not a full blown case. This sighting does not mean we have bed bugs. In further clarification they can be found anywhere. If a guest tells us us they saw a bug we immediately shut down and inspect the entire room. This curtails to the removal of all bed linens and bed skirts, spreads and towels. The beds are lifted up and cleaned under as well as taken off the frame and inspected for activity or signs of other pests. We take great precautions to alleviate this issue and have always done this. The room is then sprayed by our pest control and we leave it down for at least 5 days. When the five days are up we re-inspect to be sure there was no surfacing of any kind of bug.Once it is inspected one more time and the room is cleaned and prepared we then open the room for leasing. All our rooms are checked for any type of activity daily when the house keepers and inspectors are cleaning and preparing the room. We do not have bed bugs.Do we find one on occasion? Yes we do, because they are hitchhiker's and a national problem since the 1990's in the hotel business. Our owner also had each room sprayed in January of this year for a preventive maintenance pest control. This type of spray leaves a residual product which will kill anything upon contact in our rooms.If you had not seen this pest he would have been killed if and when he walked through our pest control or he would have been identified by our staff.If we find a bug anywhere all of the above is done. We take good care of our rooms and all the precautions are a part of our program so we so we do not have bed bugs. I am so sorry you had a sighting here at our hotel. I was even further upset you chose to relocate rather then take the offer for other rooms. I however understand the scare of this bug which is why I have taken the time to tell you our protocol when someone sees one of these guys.
