I didn't arrive with high expectations and I wasn't looking to have a holiday in the hotel. So for me it worked. The staff were pleasant but didn't often speak to you. Could walk right past the reception and not be acknowledged. It looked like a hotel past its heyday. But for the price I would definitely stay again.
Our room was nice and it was close to several restaurants. In the morning several items for breakfast were not replenished until several guests complained. Usually someone is very attentive, but the breakfast burritos and fruit dishes were empty. A little disappointing that we needed to wait awhile for the food.

We were treated very nicely by the La Quinta staff on our first stay Sept 28, then on our departure on Oct 5 the desk clerk did not want to give me a receipt for our paid bill. I insisted and finally she gave in. What's this all about?
Everything was almost perfect! Our favorite hotel now. I don't think we will be staying @ HYATT Place. After Embassy Suites, let's just say we were very impressed! Although, we would like to let you know that the front desk staff needs to be more knowledgable of their times of Breakfast, we were told by Joseph that breakfast would be served @ 6 AM. We went downstairs on Labor Day @ 6 am, and we were told on Holidays it would open a little bit later @ 7:30 instead or 6 am.
I personally believe that we have to be considerate of our customers. That is all.
Home to the University of Oklahoma, Norman is the state's third-largest city. It boasts the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, and the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. In 2000, the art museum was given the Weitzenhoffer Collection, one of the most important collections of impressionist art, including works by Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, and others.
