Casa Dora is in the Southwest of Aruba; in a safe and quiet residential area, yet close to the tourist crowds. Within a 9-minute walk you are on Palm Beach Boulevard. Here are all the major hotels (Marriott, Hilton, Ritz Carlton, etc.), large shopping centers and everything that comes with it is nearby. Think of casinos, beach bars, luxury shops, restaurants, nightlife, promenades, etc. Water sports - such as windsurfing, sailing cruises, kitesurfing, parasailing, sailing, paddle boarding - all within walking distance. You must go a little further for the beautiful snorkeling spots. You will not be disappointed with our beautiful underwater world! Living room: This cozy living room is equipped with all modern conveniences. A nice selection of comfortable furniture and colorful decorations will make you feel right at home! Free unlimited Wi-Fi, a safe and a flat screen TV for your convenience. Books & Netflix are available for a lazy moment 'at home'. All rooms have air conditioning, but this is not always necessary with our trade winds blowing through. The entire house breathes the atmosphere of our colorful Caribbean! You will immediately feel at home. Kitchen: The large living room has an open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, such as a large stove with oven and a refrigerator with freezer. As well as a microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster and much more! 4 people can comfortably eat or play games at the dining table. Upon arrival, a basic supply of coffee, tea, spices and cold water is available for you. Bedrooms: Our 2 bedrooms have individual air conditioning. The master bedroom is stylishly furnished and has a door to the courtyard. You will sleep like a royal in the Queen-size box spring! Bedside tables, chest of drawers, side table/desk with chair completes it. The second bedroom is slightly smaller and has a comfortable bed (160x200cm), a large cupboard wall and a blackout roller blind to block out the bright sun. All bed linen is provided free of charge. Bathroom: The bathroom is not spacious, but has a large shower with hot water, a sink and a toilet. There is plenty of storage space for all your toiletries and a hairdryer is provided. All towels are included. Outside & garden: Completely fenced, beautifully landscaped garden with a small swimming pool. A barbecue, an outdoor terrace and two hammocks for your relaxing moments and family dinners. You can find a washing machine in a covered outdoor area on the side of the house. We provide a cool box and beach chairs. HOUSE RULES We're not there to meet you during check-in. There is a key-box with a code at the entrance. Keys to gate and front door are in this key box. Code will be provided close to arrival date. Guests need to be independent; hosts/owners do not live at/on the property. We will be available 24/7 by phone, email or whats-app for questions or emergencies. We will visit personally if requested or if needed. If necessary, your rental car can be parked in the street next to the property. Please treat our house as it was your own. Be responsible and honest. Cette maison dispose de tout ce qui est nécessaire, son jardin clôturé en fait un havre de paix après les différentes excursions. Jeanine est présente à tout moment pour répondre à toutes les questions ou résoudre les moindres soucis. Une hôte parfaite. Les literies sont de bonne qualité, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans les locations. Tous les accessoires nécessaires à un bon séjour sont présents. De plus Casa Dora est très bien située par rapport aux principales plages (Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, Baby Beach...) et des zones commerciales et d'activité. Merci Jeanine de nous avoir permis de passer de si bonnes vacances, nous reviendrons à Aruba, nous reviendrons à Casa Dora. ##### HELENE M. The key pad to get the key to the house qas tricky and difficult to open. The key to the safe gets stuck and might need replacing. Once we were settled in we loved the house, the pool and the yard. A but noisy because of the traffic. Jeannine was quick to respond to our messages. Jean came to clean the pool on a regular basis and Patrick the property manager was attentive. The photos on this listing don't do this property the justice it deserves. Once we arrived, we realized the furnishings are actually better than the photos depict. The pool was bigger than we thought as well as it was about 4.5 feet deep; abit more than a plunge pool. I originally thought it would be more of a kiddie pool depth. We were pleasantly surprised! This isn't a "con" against this property just an FYI... keep that door closed!! I walked out only long enough to grab my drink for a refill (Literally 5-7 seconds) and a lizard ran in! LOL! We didn't care, it is an island and they do eat other bugs. We did eventually get the little guy out a couple days later. They are QUICK! TIP for bathroom: the outlet on the wall will work when you turn on the switch outside the bathroom door; it took a me until day three to figure that out. :) Also, there is an additional traditional coffee maker in the large cabinet where the dishes are located; it was on the bottom right when I was there. It's small but it worked just fine for 2 people. The coffee make on the counter is a pod using machine. (Not Kureig; the smaller version). We would love to return soon! TIP: travel on off days and take the earliest flight available to arrive and depart. You'll save some headaches at the airport. ##### Rachel M. Casa Dora fit the bill. We had our own splash pool, nice patio area and about a 15 min walk to Palm Beach. A 10 minute walk to grocery store. It was easy to order a cab when we did not want to walk. Upon our arrival we were notified by the owner that there was a hole in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms due to a leak because of the rain. A negative aspect of this place was the infestation of cockroaches which according to the owner it was also due to the rain. We enjoyed the plunge pool which was perfect for a group of 3\. The bathroom is small but manageable. Overall, this place was comfortable for the time we stayed in Aruba. Jeanine was reachable at any time and would answer promptly to any questions or concerns. ##### Ydania R. So close to everything. Communication with Jeannine is quick and check in easy. Love that there’s snorkel gear and coolers and beach chairs. We cook breakfast and lunch “at home” so the kitchen is perfectly supplied for our needs. The pool is lovely and refreshing after a hot day at beach or hiking. It’s also nice to cool off before bed. This is our 4th trip to Aruba and this is possibly our best rental yet. Tip: the Marriott hotels right across Irausquin have free parking, Starbucks, gelato, great gift stores, and lovely sunsets. There is a local artisan market there on Tuesday and Thursday nights 6-9 with amazing handmade gifts. Can’t wait to return again. ##### Anna C. Close enough to activities however far enough away from the hustle and bustle from the main drag of Aruba. The pool is refreshing. The porches are perfect for lounging and reading. Somethings to think about: 1\. the stand up shower is small. Not for a tall or larger person. For the ladies it is difficult to shave your legs. My fix was to shave outside of the shower (at the sink) then take the shower afterwards. It worked well. The shower is not HOT. It is Aruba hot 😃. However the temp of the shower is perfect for the temp outside. (Jan high was 80-82.) 2\. There is no local phone in the house. Making local calls are on you and your cell service. Man hatte alles, was man brauchte und mit dem Mietwagen konnten wir überall leicht hinfahren. Die Betten war sehr gemütlich, der Pool genau richtig! Jeanine hat all unsere Fragen schnell beantwortet und war sehr hilfsbereit. Es war schön ruhig in der Ecke, Entspannung pur. :-) Wir können diese Wohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen! ##### Sonja E. The location is great, we had a car so we were able to quickly get to anything we wanted, but not a long walk to beaches (1m). Street was busier than I expected as it is on route from resort area to main interior route, but we had no issues. Place had everything we needed for the week. We stopped at SuperFoods on way to property, but could have saved us some money if we would have checked in first as there food bags, several condiments, etc. that we would not have had to buy. I will definately consider it a place to stay on our next visit to Aruba, sure hated to leave. Communication and directions were spot on. Thanks for making our first trip to the happy island a good one. ##### Scott C. Outside patio area was absolutely lovely especially in the evenings. It would be nice to have the bushes trimmed on the side street where the car is parked. My only recommendation.
