It’s a great cultural experience. The setting is not for everyone, since almost everything is on the floor. But we enjoyed it and having a lot of fun taking pictures. It’s a 5 minutes walk from the Hell Valley and the shopping street. Some of the great trails to walk around the lakes and to the foot bath stream. However, the room aesthetics didn't quite appeal to me, so I opted for the Grand Hotel instead — and I'm glad I did. The buffet options were diverse and the dining experience was exceptional. I was equally impressed with the room, and both the onsen and service were outstanding. Dinner buffet features wagyu, crabs, shasimi and melon. Breakfast buffet features kaisendon, onsen eggs. Finally, staff are super friendly, always greet and even helped us to move our luggage up the enterance slope.
