I think this is more of a German thing. Staff: needs to smile more and be more accommodating. I have only at least two staff at the reception who smiled and welcomed me the rest are miserable at reception! Room: generally new and clean. They will only clean it when you request it to be cleaned otherwise it’s more of the environmental impact that they preach. Will I come back? Probably." The beds and pillows were a bit too soft for me, but may be perfect for you. The breakfast is very filling and tasty, with a surprising amount of variety -- especially worth getting in such a small town with relatively few morning options. The bells from the church across the street are definitely audible -- and start early and end late on weekends -- but didn't really bother my friends and I too much. Given the location and the price, this is an excellent choice for your trip to Meissen."
