Across the street from the JR train station and a 5-10 min walk to the centre of town. Simple breakfast but was good for us. Good three pool onsen for a relax in a simple locale. Good place for sleeping while you go see the area.
Our marvellous 5 days stay with Nikko Station Classic as we explore Nikko. Love the close proximity to train station with great sound proofing room and beautiful mountain view from room. Loved the dinning options offered especially their breakfast buffet with wide varieties and different choices each morning. The staff are friendly and helpful too.
The Nikko Station Hotel Classic is a Great Hotel with Friendly Staff, good Rooms, Facilities and Restaurant, Excellent Service and great Restaurants, Shops and Transportation available.
The hotel staff was super friendly. I really appreciate their hospitality. It was 5-star. Between that and the room I was completely happy, it was comfortable, quiet, and overall pleasant. The onsen at the hotel was a bonus and I enjoyed a late bath alone under the stars in the outdoor setting.
Great room not big but enough for 2 people, close to the train station and the bus line toToshogu shrine.

Liked: Staff & service
Room size is standard, very basic service. Staff is nice to helo us hold the luggage. Very close to both train stations (JR Nikko and Tobu Nikko, which is run bt a private company)
NSHC is an excellent choice for your Nikko visit. It's quiet, safe and extremely convenient to the two local rail stations. The hotel restaurants are good. One of them opens till 9:00 pm every night. It takes about a mile to walk to the Shinkyo bridge. But the breakfast quality can be improved. Bus information should be displayed in the lobby so visitors can easily find out routes and station locations... These may help more to stay in the hotel too.
Great hotel near the train station and only a couple of K from the main shines/temples.
Plan for your meals if eating outside the hotel as many of the restaurants close around 5 (this May just be because we were at the start of the season).
Defo stay again
Convenient location across JR Nikko Station, clean, simple hotel with amenities like coffee, tea, toiletries provided and a nice onsen with indoor and outdoor Onsen. There's a small bakery next door. Otherwise no eateries around & no convenient stores.
Very close to both train stations. Wi-Fi is totally fine. Onsen is good, close to several restaurants and staff is helpful.

Disliked: Amenities
Service was below business hotel standard, with high price. Barely the minimum services in term of drink in the room and accessories for the bathroom. Bed not make for next day, and number of towel reduced from previous night. To avoid.
Good location near transit.
Friendly staff.
Room was good size.
Room had a bit of smoke smell, possibly from smoking area, but with AC on it went away.
Awesome stay, great staff.. shipped me lost items to Tokyo.
Onsen is nice, location is right next to the station, free parking and quality restaurant! 10/10 for the price
Location! So close to two stations. Very reasonable price. Not fancy place to stay but with convince, it will be top choice for Nikko trip!
Staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant Sakura has great chef staff and foods!
Local sake was so tasty as well!
Definitely recommend to stay here!
We had a lovely time here, the room was cosy and clean, the breakfast buffet was the highlight and it was very delicious and the hot springs downstairs was very relaxing. I would recommend my friends to book here.
Very nice hotel, within steps of the train station. This quaint town was definitely worth the visit, adding a flavor of Japan away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. The temple/pagoda were awesome - the best of many that I've seen. Back to the property - AMAZING breakfast was included in the price.
Overall the hotel was enjoyable. Breakfast and Dinner buffet featuring local specialty Yuba was outstanding. Nikko Station reminds us of national park lodges for their charm but is rustic. Did my first public onsen - I think next time I will arrange for hotel stay with private onsen. Didn’t used the room slippers b/c they were cleaned but used. Only negative is Shower curtain smelled - they should change them out for each new guest.
