Basic, economic but comfortable
Clean but small single room with old furniture. Communal areas looked much nicer. Excellent wi-fi and location. Most comfortable bed of five hotels during this trip. Could smell cigarettes if I opened the window

We loved our stay at Hotel Costasol. It is in an ideal location for wandering around Almeria. Check-in was super easy, and service was great. Rooms were a good size for the price - would stay again :)

Great central location. Walk to beach, sites, restaurants. Close to train/bus station 15 minute walk! Hotel more traditional style. One old fashioned key entry. Must lug bags upstairs to front lobby, not user friendly.

Hotel was lovely, room and bathroom were excellent.. Housekeeping was excellent with room being cleaned daily. Staff on the check in desk were really friendly, always has a good morning/ evening. Perfectly placed hotel to explore Almeria City, all tourist sites were in walking distance, if you want to go further afield, lots of bus stops just outside the hotel, plus 2 taxi ranks and the train/ bus station was 10 to 15 minute walk away.

Not recommended
Hot water was not available in the room because the boilers were being repaired. This could be understood if we would be advised at check in or at least during our stay. Also the room window was overlooking smelly exterior courtyard.

Nice hotel with lovely small rooftop terrace
Very good hotel not to far from the bus and train station ,very clean room and bathroom nice size in excellent condition,only one problem we had there was the view in looks out onto a brick wall but if you are travelling around spain i would definitely recommend this one .

In Center of City and Near Best Beach in Spain
Almeria Costasol The very center of the city (rambla). Beach 10 min. Beach is the best, several km, clear water, white sand. Good and not expensive restaurant – Globe Gastrobar. In the Plaza on the way from the hotel to the beach. There is a big Dia grocery store in the plaza. The hotel’s restaurant ia also not bad. The coffee is Euros 1.20 everywhere, and is very good and strong. Carrefour (big) 200 m from the hotel, farther along Paseo Almeria. There is a Roberto Verino clothing store (Spanish designer) etc.

Excellent city centre located hotel
We stayed 1 night (1/8) before our flight home. Room was spotlessly clean, modern & well maintained. We had a triple room at the side of the hotel so no view but didn't matter as we'd asked for a quiet room and that was what we got despite the hotel being completely full. Very comfortable beds & very glad of the efficient air con! There is a nice roof top terrace. Staff in reception friendly & helpful. Location is excellent, right in the city centre and possibly guessing about 15 mins walk from the beach (sadly we didn't have time to visit). Only slight disappointment was the hotel bar. It was supposed to be open til 10.30pm so we thought we would have a nightcap when we got back at 10pm. The bar was totally empty, waited a few minutes & no staff even. It also had a strange smell which we decided was down to a previous water leak, not very inviting! We gave up & went to the bar down the road. Won't put us off, we will definitely stay again when in Almeria! P.s if arriving by car the hotel have an arrangement with the underground parking at General Tamayo street. 12 euros for 24 hours, pay at hotel reception to get a voucher before you leave.

The staff went out of their way to help us when we needed information about things to do in Almeria and how to find our way around. The hotel was on the main street in town but the room was quiet and we were near to all the shops, restaurants and a short walk to the beach.

Great Place
This property is very central near loads of shops and restaurants. It was very clean and the room was spacious. The staff were friendly and checking in and out was hassle free. Would highly recommend.

A hotel with pazaz!
Everything had been thought of and designed for comfort in a minimal way. The access was the only difficulty (up several stairs) We were impressed by the decor and cleanliness, bathrooms and bar. Wonderful position in city of Almeria but worth getting a taxi as the one way system was a little confusing at first. Will certainly stay again and look forward to it.

This was the worst hotel of our visit to Spain. They had building work using power tools in the next room to us which started up at 8:30am. Our “junior suit” was very small. We could hear everything going on in the rooms around us, including someone throwing up. The location is the only positive of this hotel but we will not be returning!

Central hotel
Hotel is very central to tourist attractions and 15 minute walk to the beach. Very clean basic no coffee facilities I was in room 108 as a single traveller and like most hotelier in the world no view for me. Room looked onto a wall even though I didn't spend time in the room didn't really know what the weather outside was until I went to reception.

3 star but deserves 1! Total let down
We had to finding ur own own parking as parking was 12 euro a day. We then walked 15 minutes in the boiling heat with all of our bags. The rooms are small an and nothing like the pictures.the shower was all rusty and no space to even turn. Then at around 12 we heard fighting in the corridoor. The people where having a party in there room. I told the receptionist but he just laughed.

Hotel located adjacent to the historic centre, shopping area, with more then plenty of tapas bars/restaurants and in easy walking distance to the beach (12min). Staff very friendly and helpful, clean comfortable hotel. I will definitely book Costasol again if I return to Almeria

Your basic hotel in the heart of town. On the main street but didn't hear any noises. Window opens into a courtyard with several apartments sharing, so a lot of noise from the apartments actually (people talking, shouting, arguing haha). Good enough for a couple of days. Comfortable. I ate at the cafeteria one time for convenience. It was okay, but plenty of places to eat in town. Arranged a cab for a 5 AM pick up, no problems.

Acceptable hotel in good location
Good location on pretty street on the eastern boundary of the old town. Carrefour supermarket 4 mins walk north. Coast 4 mins walk south. Nice castle, and older castle ruins to its north. Long beach running east with pleasant esplanade and lots of cafes. At the end is a cycle track that leads you to a beautiful park, that goes inland for about a mile. Toilets. Nearest thing to a botanical garden they have. Worth the walk for the lovely cacti. 22 bus goes from airport to central railway station, only €1.05, but only runs every 70 mins. On arrival we just missed one and took a taxi, which was €15.

Middle of town
This is a six floor hotel located in the middle of the shopping/restaurant area of Almeria city. We stayed here for a week in the beginning of September. On check in the staff were polite, smiling and efficient. The only problem we had was we are not very good at Spanish and their English was not much better. There was a restaurant in the basement. The menu was limited, but in Spanish/English, which was a benefit and lunch started at one o'clock. We ate there once and that was enough. Steps to enter the hotel, a bit awkward if disabled, they lead to reception and a sitting area. There is one lift to all floors. The corridors are clean and well maintained as are the rooms. Entrance to the room is by key and you need a key for the safe. The first room we were given stank of cigarette smoke, but we had no problems getting another room after reception apologised. The rooms are not overly large, but adequate. The beds are comfortable and clean. They have enough electrical sockets and a t.v. (local Spanish channels only) and fridge are provided. We were given two bottles of water on arrival, but after that it was a case of buying your own, which is unusual. The bathroom was large with a bath, shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. There was a wall mounted a/c unit that was efficient. The first room we were given, that stank of smoke, had a bathroom that was a lot smaller. The hotel was suitable however it's location is excellent.

This hotel served only as a single night stay -- thank goodness! By all accounts, this should have been a more restful stay. The hotel has a bit of old country elegance, with plenty of marble and dark wood but there are two established downsides. The first is the lack of street parking although a contracted pay garage is within walking distance but best if you can find an open spot to unload your luggage first at the hotel street front. Secondly, there is an elevator once inside the hotel but upon initial entry there are a series of steps rather than level access or a ramp, making access with bags or a physical impairment a bit heavy and/or awkward. The hotel is kept immaculately clean and the staff, although a bit curt, made initial attempts to ensure our preferred room type and off street location were satisfied. Although the room was small, it was freshly renovated and decorated and would have been quite acceptable if not for the ongoing renovation of a nearby room. We tolerated the noise into the late afternoon since we were in and out, but by early evening there was no indication of hammers and saws quitting their racket. We inquired twice about the continuation of noise and were told that it would cease within an hour. It took until 10:00PM for work and cleanup to end that night but preparations began again the next morning at 7:00AM. We are scoring the establishment lower than it should deserve but for lack of professional consideration.

Good City Hotel
Spent a lovely couple of days in Almería. A real unsung hero. Hotel is very centrally located near lots of tapas bars and just 15mins from the city beach. Room was basic but comfortable, with aircon. Only complaint is the bed wasn't a double(two twins pushed together).
