Villefranche Vista is a two bedroom two bathroom luxury apartment. Enjoying an elevated south-facing location, it provides stunning views of the bay of Villefranche from the full length balcony, lounge and main bedroom. The balcony is exposed to the sun for most of the day and is perfect for al fresco dining. The apartment was recently refurbished to a very high standard with marble floors and air-conditioning. Amenities include broadband wifi, a large flat-screen TV and Sonos sound system. The open plan kitchen has an American fridge freezer with ice maker, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The bedrooms feature double beds with Egyptian cotton linen and big fluffy towels. The main bedroom with sea view has a separate modern bathroom. The second bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Both bathrooms are supplied with l’Occitane goodies. Perfectly situated on the edge of the old town, the apartment is a five minute stroll to the restaurants and shops. The beach and train station are a two minute walk. Villefranche-sur-Mer is a charming 13th century fishing village surrounding one of most beautiful bays in the world. This friendly and artistic town, in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, is one of the few spots on the French Riviera to have retained its old world authenticity and charm. The old town of Villefranche cascades down the hillside to the water’s edge. Here, you are spoilt for choice with vibrant restaurants and traditional brasseries tucked away in the maze of narrow streets and alleyways. Villefranche has a beautiful sandy kilometre-long beach and clear blue waters. Bathers take advantage of the average of 300 days of sunshine per year. The train station provides easy access along the coastal route to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, the medieval village of Eze, Monaco and through to Italy. Pour le café, il y a une machine à espresso et non pas Nespresso. Meilleures épiceries sont le Market/Carrefour sur le Boul. Carnot (autobus ligne 15 et escalier de la gare) et le Super U à Beaulieu-sur-Mer (35 minutes à pied ou retour par train, la gare de Beaulieu étant adjacente au marché). Il y a un marché public sur la place de l’octroi à Villefranche le samedi. Du bon comté 18 mois à 2,5€ les 100 gr. ##### Richard L. Nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement par Donna qui nous as tout expliqué. Nous étions deux couples d'adultes, dont mon fils et son amie KIM qui arrivaient du Vietnam, KIM a été enchanté de son séjour sur la côte d'Azur . L'appartement est très bien situé. Il est d'une grande clarté avec ses baies vitrées. La chambre parentale avec vue sur la mer. le balcon est très grand et bien équipé. L'appartement est très bien équipé, il manque juste le "presse orange" pour faire le jus d'orange le matin. Le temps étant très clément nous avons pu en profiter. La plage et le village sont très près. Nous avons effectué une promenade de 9 km en partant de l'appartement via le sentier des contrebandiers. Apartment on second floor; there is an elevator which we used for baggage. It is quiet. Large living room and beautiful view of the water from one bedroom and also the living room. The balcony was wonderful, perfect for relaxing with guests. The view of the water, boats, and people swimming across the bay is stunning. Proximity to the train station and beach was perfect- 5 minute walk; the vielle ville was about a 10 minute walk. Many restaurants very close by. Donna the property manager was very helpful. I felt very comfortable in this apartment and very safe. I walked to the institut de francais daily, about a 25 minute walk, much of it uphill. I gave it a low rating because the renter did not disclose to us that there was construction going on right below our deck weekdays until 11:30 at night. Trucks, backhoes, drilling, yelling. Between this and constant trains, it greatly took away from the relaxing vibe that was being sold. When we contacted the owner, his answer was “get earplugs”. He said it was out of his control. Probably true but we definitely didn’t get the experience we paid for. Lack of peace. Lack of sleep. Not impressed with the owner. ##### C M.
