It is located in the historic district of Old Nice, a 5-minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and its many beaches. The decorative elements are borrowed from a variety of styles and eras: contemporary furniture with clean lines mingle with wallpaper and exotic objects as well as small finds in the flea markets of Nice. Natural materials dress the interior: the raw wood of the furniture, the rattan suspensions and chairs, the stone of the sink in the master bedroom…. Its location in the heart of Old Nice, in a traditional Niçois building, requires access via stairs. The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor (without an elevator), which may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. Everything was as it appeared on the listing, and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Had expected it to be a bit noisier given the location in the old town, but it was peaceful and private, as well as feeling secure. The busier streets were just a minute’s walk away, and we could be at the beach in just over 5 minutes. The apartment is close to a tram stop and there is a small Carrefour just across the square. The detour to collect and drop back the keys was OK, though needed a bit of planning on the final day. Although a bit more expensive than we would usually book, it was definitely worth the extra for the location, the quality of the apartment and the peace of mind. ##### David S.
