Grand hotel, but with internal works ongoing

Posted 17-Oct-2016
Pros: Style and location.
Cons: Attention to non-closing internal room doors
Location: Nice central so everything within easy reach.
We enjoyed our stay, but we should have been told that internal renovations were ongoing from early morning during our stay; noisy. None of the doors closed with the exception of the room entrance door so internal works needed. Bathroom mirror remained steamed up. None of these faults would deter us from returning but hotel should have been more informative.

Historisk hotel

Posted 16-Oct-2016
Er du til kunst og kultur er dette hotel helt enestående. Gå op ad trapperne og se de mange kunstværker. Gulvtæppet er retro fra 1974 og udstillet på moma new york. Personalet er meget venligt.

The one and only experience in Nice

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: That it remains privately owned and operated by Mme. Augier, a 93-year-old grande-dame de Nice. And that she owns the entire hotel's art collection.
Cons: We just lijed everything about it!
Location: So many things to do in Nice! Have breakfast, lunch or dinner at one if the beach bars close to the hotel.
The Negresco Hotel is such a landmark in the area that it beats, hand down, any similarly luxurious hotel in Nice. Its location at the center of Promenade des Anglais, its classic yet bright and airy architecture, its amazing art collection combining old with the new, its spacey rooms with majestic views of the bay and the parc of Massena Museum, its amazing staff, make the stay at the Negresco the most memorable experience ever.

Posted 30-Sep-2016
Pros: It was full of character in its decor with art works making an interesting backdrop
Cons: Pool?
Location: Opposite beach and close to shopping
Great reception on arrival with helpful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable with all facilities. Food and service in restaurants was first class.

Legendary Hotel in a prime location on the beach

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Pros: The artwork and the building
Cons: See above. Fix showers, provide decay. coffee granules, better selection tea bags, better quality shampoo, update TV sets, maintain rooms better
Location: Beaches, restaurants, museums
The artwork in this hotel makes the stay. Take the time to visit each floor to admire and enjoy the varied collection. The building is also beautiful and the central dome awesome. However we were left unimpressed and disenchanted with other aspects of our 5 night stay: - the shower door design allows water to run down and pool on the bathroom floor - so get extra towels to soak it up! - kettle in the room but no plug! Had to plug it in on the carpet. - no decaffienated coffee. Very stingy offering of 2 only tea bags and poor instant coffee. Bring your own supplies. - Shower / shampoo dispensers poor quality set off allergic reaction. Begrudgingly replaced small box of better quality products. - Tiny TV set - bathroom door lock broken - concierge wrote detailed instructions on a map for us, with bus numbers. Turned out to be wrong, wasted 1 hour

Ein Traum am Strand

Posted 19-Sep-2016

Not a pleasant experience at Le Negresco

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Awful experience. Room was dirty, minibar glasses had lipstick on them, minibar wasn't made up, breakfast was served cold, staff stole €8 of change that was placed on a bedside table. Probably one of the worst experiences in all honesty. Especially unfortunate given how much I paid for this hotel. To top it off, it was my partners birthday and I coordinated with the hotel to do something for it. It wasn't in the room when we got there and it showed up late.
