Going the extra Kilometre

Posted 11-Dec-2017
Helpful staff was the highlight of this stay. Michael at the front desk went out of his way to call our tour company in the morning to ask if they could drop us off at the airport at the conclusion of our trip (good thing, too, as we found out the tour company messed up on the pickup location and were expecting to pick us up at the train station!) Other little things he did with a smile and without hesitation included heating up our food using their microwave late at night, and suggesting that I take a hot drink to go just before I was about to leave on the tour (the cappuccino was splendid). Location is great and close to the main hub. The old-school lift was a lot of fun. Breakfast items were well-stocked and pretty yummy (hard-boiled eggs, croissants, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, sausages. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place.

Excellent Hotel-Great Location

Posted 27-Oct-2017
We enjoyed our stay at Le Seize. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to all forms of transportation, including easy walking to everything. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Nice

Good location and staffs but terrible cleaning

Posted 25-Oct-2017
It is so near by the center village (tram and bus station) and beach and ok to walk to the train station. And the room including bathroom is small but good. Moreover the staffs are so helpful and kind. But just one thing, the cleaning conditions are so terrible. I have a strong doubt if they clean the room or not while we are out. So many hairs on the blanket of bed and the floor of the bathroom.... They didn't even take away a can of beer at the corner.Terrilble... Except this the hotel is overally recommendable.

Very good position.

Small standard room. Double bed..single occupancy. These rooms are over looking busy road. So very noisy. Ear plugs necessary. Walls very thin. Offered another room for, 20 euros. Declined. Will not be going back

Comfortable, close to the beach and old town

Posted 21-Oct-2017
Pros: Location, comfort for a short stay, staff
Cons: Bathroom/shower condition and perhaps newer soundproof balcony doors.
Location: Bakery on Rue Gioffredo is great, Jardin Alber I park is nice, just explore the streets and go for a walk in old town at night
I spent 3 nights at the hotel in middle of October. Overall I was happy. There was nothing major to complain about. Positives: room was clean and overall comfortable, decorated pleasantly, air conditioning worked fine, there was a small fridge in the room, hotel is close to the promenade and the old part of town, only 1 stop away from the train station, there are bars and restuarants in the nearby streets and there is a lovely bakery around the corner, the staff were friendly advising me about local travelling and the retro lift is cool. I did not have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on that. Negatives: although the bathroom was clean there were a few signs of wear and tear (few rust and mould spots), the shower hose was slightly damaged, the doors on the balcony are not very soundproof and neither are the walls but I was lucky to have quiet neighbours, there is not much storage and the wardrobe was tiny, the room (standard double room) was a little smaller than expected but would be OK for 2 people just don't bring large suitcases. Be aware of mosquitos! I was kept awake by a few one night after leaving the balcony open all day.

Nice hotel close to points of interest

Posted 16-Oct-2017
The hotel was good in terms of the fact that it was close to the beach and old town and to the tram network as well as the train stations. The front desk staff were awesome and gave us a few tips on stuff to do and places to go. The cleaning people did walk into our room even though there was a do not disturb sign outside which was not good. The breakfast was okay if you just want a quick fix to go. But overall the hotel served its purpose.

Nice hotel in Nice

Posted 1-Oct-2017
Staff helpful and friendly. Room was standard and comparable for the price , comfy bed , good housekeeping . Breakfast good but limited choice., 15 - 20 minute walk to railway station , frequent trams only a few minutes walk from hotel . Plenty of restaurants and cafe within walking distance. I recommend the Nice hop on hop off bus tour . We bought a two day pass and used it frequently.

Ideal choice for exploring Nice

Posted 19-Sep-2017
We were after a central reasonably priced base for a couple of days exploring Nice and couldn't fault this place. Staff were friendly and helpful, it's a short stroll to the Old Town and seafront, rooms were not flashy but clean and beds and showers were fine. They even provided a bottle of water. For the price and compared to others available I'd definitely stay again although if you are looking for somewhere to relax and spend time in the room then maybe not.

Nice Hotel close to all tourist attractions

Posted 16-Sep-2017
Pros: Average size hotel in walking distance of most of the attractions. Room was comfortable with free Wi-Fi, safe, air con and a fridge (very handy).
Cons: Safe could be bigger and a couple of English channels on the TV. Improvement to the lift (although quaint) for people who struggle with stairs.
Location: Location Excellent. Close to Old town, Place Massenna, shops, Prom. des Anglais (all within walking distance).
Hotel is ideally situated. Place Massena, Old town, Prom. des Anglais and shops on door step (2-5 minutes walk) with Train and Bus stations 15 minutes away. Hotel is comfortable, staff very helpful and air con. small fridge, and a safe (small, fits a Tablet just) all free! Tea & coffee making facilities also in room.
