Thank you for your review.We are so sorry that your stay was less than perfect.The whole hotel is non-smoking unfortunately we appeared to have a number of guest during yout visit that would smoke outside and then come straight back in while the smell was still sttrong on thier clothes. There was also one couple that was particularly loud and was smoing in the room that we had to ask to leave. We are working on ways to reduce the sound travel from the hallway into the rooms. .

We are sad that you had a terrible time. I am not sure exactly why this was.I hope it was not due to the confussion of the front desk clerk when you arrived for your booking for 2 Adults with 3 cars full of people she counted approximately 12 people.It is a bit unfair to rate a stay in a room with a capacity of 4 Adults when you show up with 12 many of which used the room in rotation to either sleep, shower or eat.Perhaps if you had booked the correct number of rooms for your party you would have been more comfortable.

Thank you for your reveiw.We are sad that we did not meet your mark for a small 2 star hotel. The beds are new and medium firm and most people love them. As for the TV we cater to everybody we do have the facility for every regular channels and thosuands more for thoses looknig to spend time in front of the box. However we recently installed Chromecast becasue that is what the majority of our guests have asked for so that they can stream their premium channels. I guess the jury is out with the Pizza Joint vs the old hotle lobby., However it is new and missed the open of the season but appears ro be gaining a local following. We are aiming for friendly. clean and comfortable, with attentive staff with a slice near bye should you want that late night bite.

Thank you for your review, after your husband informed us about the outlet we immediately removed the grounding prong. I have never seen one of them break off in a plug and I am not sure how that would even happen. So I'm very surprised that someone would not notice if they broke one off and report it right away, unless there was malicious intent.I am sorry that you did not find the pillows comfy. We purchase them from hotel suppliers and replace them regularly.

Thank you for your constructive comments. We have the communal microwaves on the ground and third Floors. Half of our kings are premium kings and have a kitchenette with microwave and kettle. Unfortunately they go fast.

The issue with the keys is that they use a magnetic strip and modern smart phones have a strong magnet on the back and the wireless charging is also magnet base.Many people keep their keycards with their phone so they don't lose them. However if the phone case is not thick enough it demagnetizes the strip.We are sorry for the inconvenience

I am not sure what this review is based on.This guest did not stay at the hotel due to insufficient funds and a disagreement with the hotel policies posted on Expedia.

However we welcome your comments and criticisms.Addressing your issues,Housekeeping has not seen any ants in the rooms on the 3rd floor, this could be caused by guests propping open the fire door on the floor when they go outside to smoke instead of coming downstairs through the hotel front door. This is an issue we are trying to address. It is hard to stop nature from coming in through an open door, We pride ourselves at keeping the rooms as clean as possible. The aircon has a thermostat and that is why it does not stay on all the time. This is an old building that was recently renovated with all new furniture and beds. Air conditioners are maintained regularly and are replaced when they reach the end of their life cycle.There were 2 towel sets in your room because you booked for 2 Adults (which is the base occupancy) then close to midnight when asking for more towels we are a small hotel and there is not 24 hour housekeeping,When the lady tried to exchange your towels it turns out that you had 5 adults in a room that has a max. occupancy of 4 avoiding the incremental charge for the additional adults. You then slammed the door in her face when asking how many people that you had informing that the room was booked for 2 and hotel policy does not allow unregistered guests to stay over.The hotel didn't charge the additional 60 that was due. As a courtesy.Again I am sorry for your frustration with the question from the guest manager but hotel policies are there for a reason, both for your safety and the enjoyment of other guests.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have ordered a new screen for that room.I found that there is a sizable tear in the screen in the window of that room and we notice that this time of year small flies are abundant in the field beyond our parking area. We do apologise some of these flies do get in from time to time but a screen prevents them from directly entering the rooms.

As I explained when you arrived, the room you had booked had a maintenance issue. So I upgraded you to a better room, so that you were not exposed tot the damage your room received over the Memorial Day Weekend. In moving you I conciously moved you to the more private wing away from the crowd of college kids that were visiting us over the weekend. And as explained we were fully booked due to a couple of rooms that wer had to put under maintenance. The new room was newly renovated and exactly the same cost as the room you booked. The a/c was working before and is still working after your stay.Before you checked in I showed you two rooms and you stayed in the room you had selected. I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectations, although we cannot control the noise from outside the hotel. Niagara Falls is a noisy entertainment city. But my team and I continue to strive to improve daily.

Thanks for your kind comments and constructive ciritsisms. Regarding the check in the major hotels have 16:00 check in. The reason is it takes a considerable time to do the housekeeping and people can checkout at 11:00 to get an early check in would require an early check out of the same room type.With regards to your second point, we have a new mamagement and there is only one number to call and there will always be someone there to take care of your check in needs.
