Wonderful Christmas
We've stayed in both a regular room and in the 3 bedroom apartment. We loved it both times. The proprietor is friendly and helpful. The property is lovely and the location is outstanding. The apartment (stateroom) is not in the same building as the pub, but it is just a few buildings down the road. The food is outstanding and the pub atmosphere is very welcoming. Overall, we love this place and highly recommend it.

We enjoyed a great stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was very good. There were nice little shops and outside dining by the canal. The room was spacious and clean. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Friendly staff. Modern cozy apartment style unit with very high ceilings and modern fixtures. Locked bicycle storage area. Close to Nickel Beach, unique boutique shops and off-road bicycle paths to Chrystal Beach and Fort Erie area, as well as the Welland Canal bicycle trail. A cyclists dream. The location is beautiful. The owner is very accommodating to your needs and goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Will definitely book here again.

The charm of the old building and the street with its shops and location next to the canal made this an ideal place to stay for a brief get-away. The room was clean, well appointed, comfortable and quiet (no noise from the street or businesses below). The room-view of the ships going through the canal was a highlight especially with the cruise ship Viking Polaris docked across the way. We will definitely consider Canalside Inn the next time we look to stay in Port Colborne. We have repeatedly eaten at The Canalside Restaurant - great people, service and food.

It was over a restaurant which had amazing food and service. They were very accommodating to our grandsons entire hockey team and their families for lunch!

Quaint & nice room. Extremely firm bed but room was nice. Very long steep flight of stairs and no elevator. Parking is in alley in rear.

Clean Spacious Room and Great Location
The room very spacious. Much bigger than pictures show. It was also very clean with with modern amenities. We were extremely pleased with the room and the location was perfect for a stroll along the canal. When we revisit Port Colborne in the future we will certainly stay here again

It was right on the canal. It was great seeing ships go under the lift bridge. Also great food downstairs in the Restaurant.

Lovely Stay
We had a lovely one night stay here. The room was clean, spacious and comfy. It's right across from the canal so you can see the ships go through. The restaurant was quite good with a varied menu and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance.

spent the night there for a wedding a few miles away the owner & staff were awsome food was great stayed in a 1 bedroom suite very nice they are upgrading the place right by the canal would highly recommend the place and the location lots of pubs and eateries close by we will go back in the summer

The location was great for my needs and larger than needed however the general condition/cleanliness was very poor compared with other locations. I had originally booked my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn In Niagara on the Lake for $85/night. I had stayed at this location previously and knew what to expect. I canceled and rebooked at the Canalside to avoid the drive, but now realize it was a mistake.

I am sorry that you felt it was in poor condition. I have many positive reviews on my hotel. The suite is in a hundred year old building with historical charm to match its location. The suite is not a cookie cutter hotel like the Hilton. The room was cleaned by myself the owner for your stay.

Fabulous!!
We booked this last-minute getaway and couldn’t be happier with our stay. Our room was spotless, modern, and comfortable… And the location can’t be beat! The restaurant is great and the friendliness of the owners definitely added to our experience. We are sure that this will become a regular destination for us.

Weekend in Port Colbourne
This room was amazing. We had a canal front room with view. The room is very large with dining table, kitchenette, living room area and full 4pc bath. The room was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We were there for a bike ride and the Friendship Trail, from Port Colbourne to Fort Erie was just amazing. We will be back soon and will definitely stay here again!
