Sterling Inn & Spa - an Ontario's Finest Inn

"Great place for a pit stop."
Sterling Inn & Spa was a great find. Thanks to Expedia for offering up such a great place at a really nice rate. I was looking for some place that was clean in Niagara Falls...not always as easy as it should be. When we arrived, it was late and we were very tired. We went into our and found a spacious bathroom and separate toilet. The bedroom part of the room was huge and sported a bar with a fridge with glass glasses, ceramic coffee cups and glass wine glasses, which was perfect because we had some cheese and Rioja that we wanted to try. The room also had a gas fireplace and a desk and a television over the fireplace. Very cozy and spacious. Our room also sported a large balcony. The shower was very large with glass doors, side jets and a steam shower. That was exactly what the doctor ordered! The room was very clean and to top it off, guests get breakfast in bed in the morning. I highly recommend staying at the Sterling Inn & Spa if you're in Niagara Falls. We'll be back on our next visit there.

"Nice hotel close to casino"
The hotel was clean the staff was nice .. but was extremely disappointed that the restaurant part of the hotel was closed .. I have tinned honest that's what got me to book a room at this hotel. My boyfriend and I thought the food and the view would be awesome from the restaurant and we wanted to experience that.. if we had know the restaurant was not open in the off season we would have waited for a later date to stay at the hotel . I think that should be noted on the website which it wasn't .. so I'm deeply disappointed about that. Other then that it was an ok experience.

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the European breakfast was really great along with the wine toast on the top floor.

"Relaxing getaway."
Second timing staying here this winter. Beautiful facility and very comfortable room. Stayed in a king suite which is great because you have a pretty fully stocked kitchenette. Comes in handy when you have lots of snacks and nibblies when you're relaxing in the room. Close to the Pen Center shopping mall and the big Outlet mall. Dinner across the street at The Keg is a two minute walk, and the dinner downstairs at Johnny Rocco's was fabulous as well. We did the Tapas menu, which is on Thursday evenings starting at 7pm.

"Almost made it"
Close to the waterfront, had a nice view from our room. Bathroom was a little outdated, standing shower was very small and leaked water all over the floors. Service was great. There was a 4 block walk to downtown but in cold weather we used the free shuttle a few times. Restaurant was a bit pricey even for off season so we went elsewhere.

"An elegant stay"
Our time at Niagara on the Lake was truly marvellous. The Prince of Wales was the highlight of the trip. Most noted was afternoon tea in the elegant salon and the extra soft bedding in our rooms.

My family, includes two young children, have returned to this hotel three years in a row. Excellent balance of cost, proximity to restaurants and attractions, Keg on the first floor, cleanliness, and great pool.

For starters, did you know that there’s a splatter of wineries just outside the ring of waterfalls? About two-thirds of Canada’s grape production comes from the Niagara area, providing an excellent plethora of wine options to taste throughout your trip.

If you’re more interested in red coats than red wine, head over to the Drummond Hill Cemetery, the site of the one of the bloodiest battles during the War of 1812. You can still see monuments dedicated to the Battle of Lundy’s Lane and the burial spot of Canadian folk hero Laura Secord. Looking for something with a little more life? Travel over to the Butterfly Conservatory of Niagara Falls. Try standing still as dozens of multi-coloured moths and butterflies land on your hands and clothing.
