You will be thirty minutes from Lake Norman State Park; 40 minutes to South Mountain State Park (hiking, trout fishing and picnicking); 45 minutes to Charlotte (airport and shopping); less than an hour to Bank of America Stadium (home of the Charlotte Hornets) and concerts at the Coliseum; an hour to Boone/Blowing Rock ski resorts/outlet shopping; and 1.5 hours to Biltmore House in Asheville. Our home is the perfect overnight stopover on your way to just about anywhere! Very comfy stay but if you are private people and do not want to be watched during your stay then you might reconsider this property. They have camera on front and back porch plus the neighboring house has cameras on every corner of their home. Felt very uneasy sitting outside to relax knowing that we were being watched and even heard.
