« Bear's Retreat was the perfect getaway spot to explore the Raystown Lake area and spend quality time with family and friends in absolutely stunning surroundings. « We had a phenomenal time at Alan’s mountain home. We skied 2 days, we easily walked to the lift and came home for lunch and went back out. It is so nice to not have to get in your car with the gear. The house is huge and had everything we needed. We had 3 families with young children and we all slept well, felt safe and made amazing family memories. The hot tub was such an amazing experience after a long day of skiing. « Absolutely beautiful and cozy place to stay. It is tucked away from noise, but is within a 10 minute drive to many restaurants and stores. The house was perfect for our getaway to Raystown (about 15 minutes) and Delgrossos (about 35 minutes). The host was wonderful and checked in with us on VRBO. The fire pit is a perfect place to make s'mores and to play corn hole. Everything was neat and clean. If we come back to Raystown, we would absolutely stay here again. »

« Our 2 nights here were nothing short of perfection. We were in town for the weekend while we moved our daughter in to Penn State. Our family is also from a rural area so this property gave us peace and quiet that you can never find at a hotel. The house was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. We were also given cookies and a bottle of milk that may have been the most delicious milk I’ve ever had. We will definitely utilize this listing in the future for our next visit. »
