There are stains and signs of damage pretty much everywhere you look and the entrance lobby smelt like a sewer for some reason. I was encouraged to leave my key in the drop box on the front desk but only once did the staff ask for any proof of who I was when I came to pick up the key later in the day, which didn't feel very secure. Parking outside the hotel is very limited and charged at £10 per day, which seems a bit steep in my opinion. The bed was absolutely knackered and there was a large gap under the door, which let in light from the hallway. All in all a very tired and sad state of affairs indeed. My daughter and I shared a sea view twin room with ensuite. On arrival it looks quite run down and parking isnt great and is limited, however if you get a space they print a sign stating your name and reg number for £5 per night. This ensures you a parking space. We had an Assistance Dog and a retired Assistance Dog, who is now old and nothing was too much trouble and thevwere made to feel welcome, along with us. The beds were comfortable and the room was well equipped, personally the small table and chairs were brilliant for me as I like to write. The bathroom was clean and had all you needed. The seaview was amazing and the cost of thr room was fantastic. We will be returning again soon. Polite and friendly. Sadly the Hotel is very poor in terms of how is kept and maintained. The lining paper on walls or ceiling is peeling off, the mould on the shower glass, the furniture in general is rusty and old: the carpet, the ceiling lights everywhere are not properly attached and weirdly pending from the ceiling with spiders inside too. All colours are towards grey or brown, so not great atmosphere or mood. No bar present so we couldn't have a coffee or something else in the Hotel to drink. Again, the staff is great because are very helpful but for the price we paid (180£ and more), honestly, is not worth at all what we had, apart form the sea view. It's definitely not a 3 stars Hotel, I would rate it just as 1 star. The premier inn just beside on the same dates had a cost which was half the price we paid: if I knew it beforehand I would have booked there.
