My friend and I booked this place as we were running the Newport News marathon. This place was a block from the finish line. It logistically was a great option as the shuttle bus to the start left from across the street from the building. The place was VERY clean and well maintained. The host was very helpful and reachable for any questions that we had. He also helped us find a great Italian restaurant for our pre race pasta dinner. It was more spacious and quieter than the busy hotels and convenient to everything in Newport News and a quick 10-min ride to Hampton. Very clean, fun decor, and the kitchen had what we needed for a few simple meals. Shower, washer and dryer all worked well. Plus easy check in and out and great communication with the host.We ended up sharing a bed as the couch and living room setup are not comfy for sleeping and get very bright early in the morning.
