The location is perfect for enjoying all Newport has to offer. The apartment, however, is directly above a restaurant that serves breakfast (a delicious breakfast, I might add), requiring them to arrive, accept deliveries, and begin cooking and serving before 6 am making it VERY difficult to sleep. Additionally, the resident of the apartment above has a very heavy step - of no fault of the property manager or owner, but potential guests should be aware. Finally, guests should be aware that this is an old building. Some windows are drafty. It would have been helpful to have an extra blanket or two. We ended up using the beach towels that were provided. Pack sleeping attire accordingly. Parking was easy and instructions provided by the management company were clear. Doors have a keypad so no keeping track of house keys required. The building is older & the floors are not level as often happens in old buildings. Be aware there are 19 very steep narrow stairs to get into this 3rd floor condo. 4 Bath towels were provided but hand towels for the bathrooms and wash cloths were not. If you like to open the windows it is noisy in the evening, being on the Main Street & smells from the restaurant will be in the condo. WiFi worked fine. Linens were comfortable but could use extra blankets for cooler weather.2 chairs in the living room were comfortable but the sofa was not. It’s a great place to stay if you’re ok with a lot of steps and want to be in the middle of the action.
