The quality of the cookware is very poor. Some of the pans have 50% of the non-stick coating missing. The oven is an adventure because the knob has missing numbers, you have to guess at the temperature. Not enough glassware for the number of occupants. It was very annoying to have to stay and wait for the dishwasher to finish to put the dishes away before leaving. The chairs at the dining room table make a lot of noise when moved; felt pads on the bottom of the legs would go a lonnnnng way (not to mention the obvious damage being done to the flooring). Great house and awesome location. 1 house away from the beach, walking distance to food. Great little bar 2 blocks away. We stayed with family, a total of 9 people and we had plenty of room. It is steps to the beach too. The bedding furniture is cheap, and the Internet is spotty, but at least management is very responsive. Needs some updates This place was in an awesome location and the bed/sleeping arrangements and layout were perfect for our party of 12\. My biggest complaints are the floors on the main level were absolutely disgusting. If we walked around barefoot our feet were black. It was just about a block from the beach making it a fantastic location. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of dishes glasses and utensils. Be aware that you will only receive a few rolls of toilet paper. We ran out within 24 hours as there were 12 of us and had to run to the store to get more. This was very disappointing as we were unaware that this would be the case. In addition we only received one roll of paper towels- which also disappeared within a day. Make sure you purchase what you need before hand so you’re not caught in the same situation. ##### Maria P. My family, friends, and I loved staying at this home to celebrate my 30th birthday. The contracts, paperwork, and verification process was a little daunting at first -- but I can appreciate Beachview Realty's thoroughness! The location is 10/10, steps from the beach with a beachview from the rooftop deck. It's also walking distance from Balboa. We enjoyed dinner on Balboa island one night with a quick walk to the ferry. The rooms are spacious and the bunk bed was a nice surprise (two queens!). The only thing to note is that it is on Balboa Blvd which is a busy street - the house is pretty well insulated from traffic noise, except for 2am drag racing we heard one night... oof! We all had a great trip to Newport. The property was what we were looking for. There were only a couple of things that could have made it a little better. First, since everyone in our group is use to hotel beds, a couple of the beds including the Master Bed had super firm beds. Every morning we had to hear complaining of how hard the beds were. Not a big deal to me, but I am speaking for the group. The other small complaint the group had was that only one of the burners outside on the top balcony was not working. There was one that was working so we made due.
