My kids enjoyed not being in the hustle and bustle of the pier the entire stay. They were able to ride the bikes to and from so it was perfect. My one and only “negative” is if your inviting people to join you for the day at the beach, parking is very limited in this particular area. It’s a neighborhood vibe feel, very homey atmosphere. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were clean and fresh. Beach toys, chairs, towels all provided along with special touches all around the house…soaps, detergent, coffe creamer, extra blankets, games, and a personal list of favorite restaurants and fun things to do. Most of our time was spent doing parent events at our son’s college, but we were able to enjoy the beach for a couple of hours for a couple of days. The location to the beach is fantastic, and bikes and chairs are provided. We didn’t have time to use the bikes, but we totally would have appreciated that amenity if time allowed. The house is definitely on a busy road, but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. My only critique is it would be nice to offer some taller beach chairs. Had everything we needed. Parking is a bit tight but doable (we have a Subaru Ascent). 3 min walk to beach. Front porch can be a bit loud as Balboa Blvd is busy, but not bad. The one drawback were the mosquito's! I didn't know CA had them but there were everywhere and in the house. Overall a nice place for a beach vacation. ##### megan l. Great walking distance to the beach. The bikes and boogie boards were a kind addition and we used them daily. The host was quick to reply and pleasant to communicate with. Cons: If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing vacation spot you won’t find it here as the primary bedroom is right on the main busy road with loud traffic all night long! The whole house could use a good deep clean including the BBQ. The lights were very dim and dirty. Some light bulbs were out. The rugs were filthy. Also, a refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser would be beneficial to guests to save on plastic water bottles. The plastic cups in the kitchen were cracked and leaked. ##### Cassie C. This was our family’s second weeklong stay in Andrea’s home and it was an even better stay than the first time! A/C floor unit has been added to the master bedroom which made the stay even more enjoyable. Kids (4 and 3) loved having parks within walking distance. Beach is also a short walk away. Bikes provided in the garage were in better shape than the weeklong rentals we rented. Overall, we had another comfortable, memorable and above all, fun time at this beach house!
