From this location, you can safely walk or ride bikes anywhere on the peninsula, Balboa Island, or down to Huntington Beach (45-minute bike-ride one direction) along the oceanfront boardwalk. However, with more than 30+ restaurants & bars, shops, electric boat/jet ski rentals, Surfboard/Stand-Up-Paddle-Board lessons all in the area you will never need to travel far! The checking in process was seamless and finding the place was also easy. For the price, I expected the place to be better looked after, it was not as clean as we expected and didn’t have the amenities you would expect. The appliances are very tired and don’t function well, one of the stove burners didn’t work, microwave was faulty, coffee maker didn’t work well and there was no hot water kettle, in fairness, the company was quite responsive and delivered a new hot water kettle and microwave the same day which was nice to see, living room curtain doesn’t really work well to open and close so it needs replacement and bed rooms have virtually no drawer capacity at all, bathrooms very old and run down. No foil, no plastic wrap, only one paper towel roll for a family of 6 for a whole week, no ziplock bags, no food storage boxes etc .. all I’m saying is for a place with such a price premium you would expect a more modernized property and available items. The hosts were great and responsive to our needs and I hope the owners get to do some upgrades around the property cause it would go a long way. ##### Sam A.
