Second stay here. This a lovely quiet place stay. Good quality rooms, spacious with great features. My first stay was pre covid and had a lovely cooked breakfast, I was really looking forward to another. So my only gripe is that this is no longer offered.

Great little hidden gem.
I was a bit concerned when I first arrived because I hadn’t received an email about getting the key to my room and the battery on my phone was nearly dead. Thankfully another guest let me use her charger and I was able to contact Emily. Thankfully she arrived very soon and showed me to my room. She was very pleasant and helpful. The room was cosy, clean and the bed very comfortable. Lovely little extra of a goody bag for breakfast and you could help your self to cereal toast and extra tea, coffee or toiletries if needed. I slept really well and even though the hotel isn’t in full use it was ideal for me because I literally just wanted a room for the night and facilities for tea and coffee. Lovely place and would recommend.

Lovely quiet location and well presented accommodation, unusual with the 'instructions by text' and no human interaction but that actually suits me fine and it was clear assistance was only a call or text away. Decent size room, comfortable and clean. The breakfast items in a bag is a nice touch and nice to see a hot chocolate in the room rather than just the usual tea/coffee. Extra breakfast items in the adjacent horse box(yes it sounds weird but its a nice touch). The only thing I would change would be the emergency lighting over the door was like having a night light as it was quite bright. Overall very good and will be staying again.

This is not a hotel, not by any stretch of the imagination! I called the Park Farm phone number on Tuesday morning while we were packing, to see if there were towels in the room, as it didn't mention it on their web site. The call went to answer phone where I was asked to leave my message, and someone would get back to me soon. We arrived at Park Farm Hotel at 7.05pm, still awaiting a reply to me question about the towels! On arrival there was a reception but it was closed. We had travelled for four and a half hours and were tired, but there was no one to greet us, no one to take us to our room, just no one at all!! When I tried to call the park Farm number it again went to answer phone - we had no idea what to do? Then a man appeared to say it was his wife who ran the hotel, but she had been busy with her horses all day!! He then pointed us in the direction of our room, which to be fair was fine. We were only staying one night, but the brief conversation we had with the husband of the lady who is supposedly running the 'hotel' was the only interaction we had and the only person we saw while we were there. Breakfast is a poor choice of self service cold food, either from your room, or from a horse box near by. Overall we were very disappointed with our experience at the Park Farm Hotel, when we booked a hotel we were expecting to stay in a hotel with all the comforts that a hotel brings, but instead we got a room but absolutely no service at all. We won't be going again!!

Little oasis of calm after a long drive
Very convenient stopover just off A1. Small welcome pack provided and fresh milk in fridge! Had a lovely hot bath and thought I was in my own bed when I woke the next morning. Will definitely use again when touring the area

A little gem, just off the beaten track
Yet again, Emily and Neil made me feel so welcome. I love the new arrangement for breakfast, so nothing is wasted, but there's more if you need it. During this hot weather, the courtyard was a shady sanctuary, with birds singing all around. I love it - 2 minutes off the A1M, easy access to The Angel, sainsbury's and the Team Valley, and the Metro centre.

Nice But A Bit Disappointing
Really, really lovely place in a great location but really disappointed that the breakfast was not a cooked breakfast as we had hoped for. They said that it was a 'packed breakfast' due to social distancing however the restaurants are open so felt like a bit of a cheat. Nice friendly text message before arrival telling us our room number, directions & how to check in but unfortunately we didn't get to meet the hosts, would have been nice to glean local information from them. Would recommend but be aware you won't meet the hosts or enjoy their famous breakfast :(

A hidden gem.
A totally quiet and peaceful place to stay despite only being a mile away from major shopping centres etc. All rooms are as covid secure as it is possible to be with individual entrances to rooms, rooms fully sanitised and used on a rotational basis. The complimentary breakfast bag and a small fridge in the room with a bottle of fresh milk is a nice touch as was the information pack which tells you everything you could possibly need to know about the area.

In view of the current pandemic I particularly liked staying here because you have your own front door to the room directly from outside. The room is left open so there's no contact at check in or during your stay with anyone- unless you need something. I asked for a plate and cutlery so I could have a take away in my room and they were brought over with no bother. Clean and tidy in the room and comfortable bed.

Great location, peaceful secluded countryside location. Attentive service, socially distanced of course! A quick text and an iron and ironing board was promptly left outside the door! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something different to your usual hotel.

Park Fark Hotel
Emily and Neil were exceptionally welcoming; I rang them to let them know I was running late. They kindly set up my room and left the key in there for me. The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and hot. I can’t fault it. They couldn’t do enough to make me feel welcome.If I find myself in Gateshead again I’ll define staying with them again.

Weekend Stay
The location and setting of the hotel was great and we were made very welcome by Neil . The service we received throughout was exceptional. My niggles are very small - the bed was very creaky and because the room had a mezzanine bedroom the spiral stairs were a challenge in the middle of the night when you needed to visit the bathroom and the room was very hot.

I truly enjoyed the tranquility of the property. No outside noises. Room was relaxing and spacious. The nice, hot cuppa in the morning while getting a bit of work done was perfect.
