We opted for a larger room to enable my partner to also work whilst we were there.The desk in the room was broken and the chair was ripped and shabby. We were informed that housekeeping would not be attending during our stay unless we requested it. Fair enough. However housekeeping interrupted my partner whilst working more than once and when I turned them away, they insisted I gave them a time that was convenient that morning. I explained that he was \`working via teams but the housekeeper seemed annoyed by this. On another occasion, housekeeping entered our room when we weren't there and left a passive aggressive note stating they could not service the room as there were personal belongings (coats) on the bed. Towels and bedding were left dumped on the sofa and dirty bedding that did not belong to us was crumpled on the bed. No surfaces had been wiped or the room vacuumed. The hotel was noisy and at one point the manager had to remove some guests who were arguing and fighting in their room and the corridor. The entrance to the hotel was littered with cigarette ends and ash even though there was a designated smoking area. Guest were congregating there from the bar to smoke.
