But as the kids got bigger and the quality of those places diminished, I looked for something else. This flat is just as central, and while the building exterior and halls were not sparkling, the flat itself was great - everything updated, comfortable firm beds and plenty of space for a family of 4\. My only hesitations would be that the carpet has some staining, and the bathroom (as with many in older buildings) has no vent fan, and thus a bit of flaking paint/mildew. Getting in was easy, and there are plenty of car parks nearby. Would love to stay again on our next visit to Newbury. ##### Chris K.
