The beach sweeps around the bay where ’The Couple’ offshore statues stand in the bay, a great landmark for the east coast. The village has a cliff top golf course, and the owner can arrange a discount should you wish to partake in a round of golf. The far end of the bay houses the Maritime Centre. where you can see the original lifeboat in the little museum and enjoy the views while relaxing in the café on-site. The promenade goes a mile along from each end of the village and is a lovely gentle stroll. Mid-way along the promenade is a popular ice cream café, which has been there since the 1930s, where they serve a family recipe ice cream. Children love to explore the rock pools, and the area is suitable for all age groups.
Nearby Woodhorn Museum regularly holds exhibitions and children’s activities, and is home to genealogy records, and is situated next to the QE2 Park. Nearby Cresswell and Druridge Bay have miles of unspoilt golden sands with a bird sanctuary, and is the start of the Heritage Coastline going all the way up the coast past Holy Island. Amble, 13 miles, is popular and has a super Sunday market and fish restaurants. A day trip to Kielder Water Park and Forest is a lovely change from the coast and is approximately 50 miles away. Hadrian’s Wall is 45 miles if you are interested in Roman history, with museums and lovely scenery. After exploring, head back to Seashore Hideaway for a relaxing dip in the hot tub and plan your next day’s adventures. Beach ½ mile. Shop 525 yards, pub ½ mile and restaurant 1 mile.

We thought Seashore Hideaway was lovely with lots of personal touches from the owners such as bath robes and bread/milk/eggs. The property was lovely and clean. The only reason i have marked down is there was a problem with the toilet that couldn't be fixed until after our stay Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Was a lovely home from home and have to say I would class owners as super hosts for their attention to detail. Very supportive & kind. Hoping further comments can be taken as constructive criticism. A downstairs loo, even in outhouse would make a significant difference for guests & also wear & tear of owners home. Dinner knives are not fitting for this property given other amenities.k Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

#### We found Seashore Hideaway to be very comfortable.
We found Seashore Hideaway to be very comfortable. The accomodation was well maintained and very clean. The welcome pack was a nice addition and useful to have some condiments, cleaners, kitchen roll etc and toiletries provided. I would have liked more storage in the back bedroom, the wardrobe space is in the front bedroom, as we travelled with other adults it wasn't appropriate to share, for a family this may not be an issue though. The town has a range of eateries and independent shops and is a 10-15 minute walk. The beach and promenade were very clean, a small section of the beach is dog friendly but we found that the beach at Cresswell was better suited to walking our two dogs. It was handy to have a garden for the pooches too.

Seashore hideaway has everything we needed to enjoy our week long break with our two dogs, well we could have used an airer as we got soaked walking the dogs and there is nowhere to dry clothes. The garden is patio and lawn which was ideal for the dogs, unfortunately it is not completely secure, and could do with a gate to stop dogs getting round side of house as the wall here is quite low. Our dogs also discovered they could get through the hedge to the next door neighbours garden, although he tells us they are the only dogs to have done so!! The property is about a ten minute walk to the beach, and dogs are restricted to one end until the end of September, there are loads more beaches a short drive away. The property is clean and well maintained and the hot tub was a huge bonus.

We were very upset on arrival as we took our 2 dogs and we were not informed they were restricted to parts of the house until we arrived. Our dogs do not take well to being kept in separation from us and make lots of noise. We could here noise from next door and couldn’t relax as we were worried we would upset the neighbours. The fence in the back garden is low and at one point the neighbour was looking over at us. We booked Friday to Monday but left on Sunday.

To say this is home from home is unfair on the property as it is certainly cleaner and has more facilities than most homes I have been to! The owners have thought of everything to allow a comfortable stay...and the hot tub just tops it off. The location is great as well, easy walking distance to amenities and the beach. Also a great base to visit many other wonderful beaches the north east has to offer. The best compliment I can pay is the fact that we have already booked to return.

#### A peaceful amazing place to spend your holiday.
A peaceful amazing place to spend your holiday. Most nights were spent watching the sun set from the hot tub, the garden was great for our two dogs and the house was large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The shops, beach and sea are a bit of a walk though, a few mins by car. Main supermarkets are only 5 mins away in Ashton or 15 in Morpeth depending on which you prefer, both are much larger places particularly Morpeth. Morpeth was lovely to walk around both shops and park. The house owner was ready available for anything needed and the house itself was stocked well on most kitchen and bathroom essentials this was very welcome and saved a few pennies. We only journeyed out a few times as we wanted a relaxing holiday for us and a safe area for our dogs, Seashore Hideaway surpassed all our expectations and would love to return.
