We stayed in one of the studios that was well equipped, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The resort is located on a bluff, overlooking the Muskegon River. Seating areas are positioned to enjoy the serenity of the landscape. The property is equipped with a dock that jetties out to the river, and there are kayaks available for use (accessories are in the shed). Use caution on the steps down to the dock. We had the opportunity to meet Melissa, the innkeeper. She was accommodating, knowledgeable, and responsive. The resort is located on the main road through the area, resulting in some road noise; additionally, the inn’s large backyard borders a neighboring house, but is separated with a privacy fence. Upon arrival, it was better than advertised. The owners went out of their to make sure we had convenient/safe parking for our bass boats, along with cords/outlets to charge batteries.
