staff was very accomodating, Neba at reception was a delight to deal with and helped us sort out a delayed check in issue due to flight cancellations. property is centrally located but on a quiet street, amenities exceeded expectations. definitely returning. thank you for the hospitality!

When I visit NYC I always stay at The James. The location is perfectly situated for walking to midtown, downtown, Chelsea, Murray Hill, etc... Also it is super quiet which is a huge plus for a city hotel. The staff are always helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful, charming, and clean. Lovely every time.

We enjoyed our stay here overall. Though the view wasn’t that great and while the staff was nice and helpful, we asked for a kettle and tea to be sent to our room but only the kettle was delivered to our door no tea so we drank warm water which was fine but we’d have liked the teas. The place was clean and the pillows were nice. The bed was solid for the most part but the duvet wasn’t exactly the right level of comfort too light. I think the place should serve breakfast that’s included in the price would be a lot more enticing for future stays. Great location and very central to the surrounding areas and transportation as well. 4 stars for us I would recommend this place and would stay again but would say some improvements would make it more excellent of a stay.
